We do a variety of things throughout the week to build on the skills everyone has. This time it was baking fresh pretzels which were delicious 😋 and then as we do most Wednesdays we all met up together at the cafe for a cuppa and a catch up ☕️😃

It's the 21st of March so it can only mean one thing, we hope you have all had your socks on this morning in support of world down syndrome day 2026. Ealier this week, everyone at the Lodge decided to make the most of the sunshine and get an early dose of vitamin D. We have been using our hands to enjoy the feeling of kinetic sand and we have played games that helped with numbers and sharing. By doing these activities we are boosting confidence and building social skills while still having lots of fun 🌞

It's finally here, come along and visit us today for our special event. Come and brouse 12 stalls, with 2 displays of sensory and communication equipment and get to have a go, listen to some very useful talks and get to ask questions. It's almost time, our first ever roadshow is taking place tomorrow. Come along at anytime from 11am to 3pm. Talk to service providers, listen to some interesting talks and see some equipment demonstrations. Grab a coffee and find one of our "chill out" spaces. What a lovely weekend we have had, the weather hasn't stopped us, we have enjoyed a pub lunch, park walks and movie nights 🤩, it does feel a bit like spring is in the air as we welcome in March 😊

Our first ever roadshow is just 1 week today. We are very excited to welcome you all to what looks to be a packed day. Starting from 11am, you can make your way into our first talk of the day all.about bowel health with Claire Stickels, followed by a browse of our stall holders, then we have talks from Speech and language and our very own Jodie & Vicky. Throughout the day there will be a coffee van serving freshly brewed hot drinks for you to buy and equipment demonstrations. There will be a designated quiet space for anyone who needs it.
