There’s so much we trust simply because we can’t see it. But invisible doesn’t mean harmless.

Sound moves through water like this whether we notice it or not, and it’s a reminder that our environment is constantly interacting with us in ways we don’t always understand. From constant stimulation to environmental toxins and modern living, it all adds up.

Especially for our kids. Our kids aren’t imagining overwhelm. Sometimes their systems are just dealing with more than we realise.

The more I learn about what we’re exposed to daily,
from what’s in our homes to what’s in our water, the more I realise how important it is to reduce what we can. And when we understand the environment better,
we can start to support it differently.

Not perfectly. Not fearfully. Just more consciously.

I started making small changes in our home that felt really aligned with this, and I’ll share more on that soon.

Had you ever thought about this before?

If a plant is struggling, we don’t blame the plant.
We look at the soil, the light, the environment.

We adjust the conditions so it has a better chance to grow.

But when it comes to our kids, especially neurodivergent kids, we often do the opposite.

We expect them to cope with environments that might be overwhelming for their nervous systems.

A lower-tox, calmer environment isn’t about “fixing” them.
It’s about reducing the load they’re already carrying.

Does this feel true for your child? I’d love to hear your experiences

Most people see the end of the week as a time to switch off, but for me, it’s where something else begins.

This is the part of my week where I get to build something that’s mine.

I get to connect with the most incredible people. People who inspire me, challenge me, and remind me what’s actually possible.

I get to be creative. To take ideas that live in my head and bring them into the real world. To shape things, grow things, and follow what feels aligned instead of what’s expected.

And honestly, the biggest shift hasn’t just been the business. It’s been who I’ve become because of it. The confidence. The growth. The way I think, show up, and back myself now. It’s changed everything.

And the community? That’s been the heart of it all.
Being surrounded by people who are also choosing more for their lives, it does something to you.It makes you realise you’re allowed to want more too.

So yeah, while most people are winding down, I’m just getting started 🤍

This is my youngest son’s lip today. Sore. Inflamed and most likely infected.

This is all because of a sensory issue.

He’s not eating properly and hasn’t for as long as I can remember now. His little body can’t handle everything.

So his lips got dry. But he doesn’t like the feel of the dry skin or lip balm. So he started picking.

On Thursday morning, he picked a bit and made it bleed.

He didn’t like the feel of the sore lip so kept touching and wiping his lip on his collar.

It made it worse. It got more sore. More inflamed. And now is super scabby.

Something so simple as dry lips has turned into this. And as his parents, we can’t do much to help him. He won’t let us! I’ve had to try and force cooled boiled water on it to keep it clean. Of course he hates that too!

This is just a reminder that you have no idea what is going on in peoples lives. For SEND parents, stuff like this is just another daily thing we have to deal with. Be kind to everyone.

SEND parenting changes what work has to look like.

You can’t “just” commit to extra hours.
You can’t “just” stay late.
You can’t “just” ignore the call from school.

So sometimes you work your day off to create breathing room later.

I’ve done that more times than I can count.

And it made me realise, I need to build something that works with my life not something I constantly have to squeeze life around.

That’s what I’m doing now.

Steadily. Intentionally. For my family. And for me.

If you’re a SEND parent trying to rebuild your career around reality, you’re not behind. You’re not lacking ambition.

You just need a path that fits.

If that’s you, my DMs are open.

With school placements being announced this week for September 2026 starters, I can’t help but feel apprehensive.

Our experience with our eldest has not been great. And he was toilet trained.

Our youngest is really struggling and still in nappies. He’s 4 in June but was a premmie so corrected age wise, I wouldn’t necessarily worry about this.

But school won’t see that!

School will see a 4 year old with SEND needs and a nappy!

Our nursery has been incredible with our youngest. So supportive and even offer advice school should offer for our oldest. And they have used this book before and have suggested we give it a try.

So we’re getting out the big guns SEND support and hoping this will help.

School anxiety is a real thing for SEND parents. Whilst most are excited this week to see which school their kids will go to, SEND parents worry about the transition. The change of routine. The new and unfamiliar environment and people. The lack of ‘safe space’. People who don’t understand our kids. We are filled with fear and anxiety.

If you feel the same as us this week, know you are not alone. Feel free to reach out below for support from other SEND parents.

While we were in West Bay, we found this brilliant photographer . I loved this picture but wasn’t sure where it would go. Now it has the perfect home!

The oldest also got a smaller photo that was taken last week! Brilliant photos. And they look amazing now we’re home!

Building an online business can be a challenge. When you’re tired from a hard day at work, looking after SEND kids, keeping the house clean and all the other life stuff, having the dedication to sit and work on your business can be hard.

But there’s a big reason I’m doing it.

I want to enjoy all the time I can with my kids. And my business is the only way that’s possible. I don’t want to have to take unpaid leave on school holidays because I’ve ran out of annual leave! I want to be able to get my kids to the beach for fun as often as possible.

If you’re fed up of trying to juggle it all, you don’t have to! Perhaps this business is this what you need too.

If you have the drive, ambition and determination to commit a few hours a week to a more flexible future, comment MORE INFO below or drop me a DM and I’ll let you know how it’s possible for you too!

Some days you just need to pause and realise you are right now where you dreamed of being a few years ago.

Today, I’m so lucky to be with my husband, my two sons, in our own caravan, enjoying the sunshine.

Today, that’s enough for me and I’m grateful to be here. Not looking forward or back. But being in the moment and taking a break. Bliss!

How often do you take stock of where you are today and all that you have received and achieved in life?

We’re told the problem is our mindset.
That if we just “think positive” or “work harder,” everything will fall into place.

But here’s the truth: it’s not your mindset.
It’s the system you’re stuck in.

A system that expects parents to work like they don’t have kids.
A system that tells us to grind for 40 years and maybe enjoy life when we retire.
A system that leaves us burnt out, broke, and feeling like we’re the problem.

You’re not broken.
The system is.

✨ That’s exactly why I chose a different way and why I share what I do.
If any of this feels close to home, drop me a message. Let’s talk about what change could look like for you.
