🚑 Let’s make sure emergency services are there for those who truly need them. Here’s what to do and not do:

Do:
- Use NHS 111 for 24/7 medical advice
- Visit your pharmacy for minor illnesses like sore throats, earaches or rashes
- Use self-referral services like physio, mental health support, and sleep help
- Seek help early to avoid worsening symptoms

Don’t:
- Go to A&E for minor conditions or non-urgent issues
- Wait until symptoms become severe before seeking help
- Use emergency services when local support is available

Let’s work together to ease pressure on our NHS and keep A&E available for life-threatening emergencies only.

Many people struggle with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) — a form of depression that follows the seasons. It’s most common during winter, but some people experience it in summer too.

Common signs include:
• Low mood and low energy
• Sleeping more than usual
• Irritability
• Carb cravings
• Difficulty concentrating

If these symptoms are affecting your daily life, there is support available 💛
You can self-refer for help through:

👉 Talking Therapies Coventry & Warwickshire: https://www.talkingtherapies.covwarkpt.nhs.uk/self-referral
👉 JOY Marketplace: https://services.thejoyapp.com/

SAD is often linked to reduced sunlight, which can affect melatonin, serotonin, and your body’s internal clock.

Treatment options can include getting more natural light, regular exercise, stress-management techniques, light therapy, talking therapies, and sometimes medication.

You’re not alone — support is available. 🌤️

🚶‍♂️ Stay Active: Don’t forget to keep moving! A walk in nature can boost your physical and mental wellbeing. Check out our local groups to stay active and sign up for the new year! 🎉 Learn more here.

🎨 Nicci suggests: Start a new hobby! Whether it’s painting, sewing, or jigsaws, learning something new can be fulfilling.

🏃‍♂️ Join a Park Run: Get involved in your community! Find a local Park Run to meet new friends.
