As part of our ongoing commitment and partnership, last week we attended Etone College to provide an assembly for students in Phoenix House as their house charity.

We do a presentation once a year for the students, explaining who we are at Mary Ann Evans Hospice and the services we provide, as well as discussing why fundraising is so important for us.

Etone College are also keen supporters of our donation bins and have hosted them several times over the past few months! We are delighted with the number of amazing donations we have received from them!

We would like to say a big thank you to the teachers and students at Etone College for their support, as well as Phoenix House in particular, for choosing Mary Ann to be your house charity. 💜🌻

We are excited to share details of an event being held by this week’s Marathon Monday runner, Lorna, alongside our other 2 runners Tracy and Stacy (who’s Marathon Monday features you will see over the coming weeks!).

Lorna, Tracy and Stacy are hosting a Charity Barn & Line Dancing Night, to help boost their fundraising! Join them for a fantastic night of fun at the Anchor Inn, Hartshill on Saturday 18th April. 🤠

All proceeds from the ticket sales are kindly going towards Mary Ann Evans Hospice! 💜🌻

What an amazing effort from Year 3 at Nursery Hill Primary School. It's looks like you had so much fun learning about Mary Ann, and also raising such a fantastic amount of money too. Give yourselves a big pat on the back 💜🌻

Well done Year 3 for raising a staggering £284.87 for Mary Ann Evans Hospice. The class had far too much fun 'breaking the rules' this week. We are so proud of you and thank you to all the families who have supported them.

It’s Marathon Monday! 🏃‍♀️

In the lead up to the London Marathon 2026, we are dedicating Mondays to shining a light on our incredible runners and their fundraising efforts.

This week it is Lorna! Excited to be running for team Mary Ann this year, Lorna is in an existing running group with some of our other team members this year, Tracy & Stacy!

She is aiming to spread awareness alongside raising funds for the hospice. As a Nuneaton resident she sees the positive impact our services provide for the local community. We look forward to seeing Lorna’s progress. 💜

The spring sunshine made a welcome appearance for this month’s Forest of Hearts Green Therapy group.☀

Some members got creative creating a bug hotel, while others enjoyed time in the garden planting herbs such as lemon balm, oregano and sage, which will help develop our sensory space. There was also time to pot the herb seedlings sown in previous sessions.🌷

The group finished the day with a bug quiz, which created plenty of laughter. What a lovely, therapeutic day spent together!🐜

As always, thank you to our friends at Forest of Hearts for facilitating and supporting our Green Therapy session each month.

We’re excited to announce that our new website is now live! 🎉

This has been an ongoing project for some time, and thanks to funding received through a grant from the Department of Health & Social Care, we’ve finally been able to bring it to life!

On our new website you will find helpful information about the services we offer, as well as the many ways you can support us. It also has a dedicated space to keep our supporters up to date with news and events happening throughout the year.🌻
