Abbey Physiotherapy provides Private Physiotherapy services to the people of North Warwickshire and beyond. The company was established in 2005 and has grown an impressive reputation for delivering patient centred care. The clinic offers daytime, evening and weekend appointments to suit most lifestyles. Although the main treatment rooms are located upstairs in their premises in central Nuneaton, there is opportunity to use a downstairs consultation room by request or arrange a home visit if required, ensuring all clients have good access to the services offered. Parking is freely available and there is a bus stop just a few metres from the door! All staff at the clinic are Chartered Physiotherapists, registered with the Health Professions Council and CRB checked to ensure patient confidence and safety. electrotherapy, rehabilitation, advice and exercise prescription, most Physiotherapists are acupuncture trained and are also experienced and qualified to managing chronic pain conditions and sports injuries.

What a fantastic review for our Alison this morning:

We can’t thank Alison enough for the fantastic support given to our son following his shoulder injury from swimming.

From the first appointment he has been treated with genuine respect and maturity, explaining everything clearly and involving him fully in his own recovery.

Exercises were tailor made to meet his needs as a competitive swimmer, with careful progression and regular follow ups to make sure everything stayed on track.

Thanks to Alison’s expertise and encouragement, he is now back to full fitness and even beating his personal bests in the pool!

Were are so grateful for the care, professionalism, and motivation that helped turn a frustrated setback into a real success story.

A lovely review for our Catherine on this dark, dreary day:

Catherine has helped me so much with pain relief and for getting me in the best possible position for pr*****ed disc surgery.

She always gave excellent advice as well as being a great listener during the times where the wait for surgery seemed never ending.

I always felt so much better physically and mentally after seeing Catherine and would highly recommend Abbey to anyone thinking of treatment

Another great review to end the week for our Alison

Have had a problem with my left arm after tearing my bicep in October 2023.

Numerous scans and visits to various physics and osteopaths treated the symptoms but not the cause and my arm slowly got progressively worse.

Decided to give Abbey Physiotherapy a try.

Within a session and a half Alison had diagnosed the issue as actually coming from my mid back and began treatment.

There's still a long way to go but most of my symptoms were significantly reduced after just one session of treatment.

Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Thorough, diligent, hands on and well worth the money

Brilliant expertise and dedication to Physiotherapy

I recently completed a course of Physiotherapy here with Alison.

As previously, she was very thorough, completely professional and supportive and got me back to normal within a few weeks.

I looked forward greatly to our weekly sessions.

Over the years I have used different Physiotherapists at this practise and would always recommend them highly.

A friendly and dedicated practice giving consistent five star service.

I would never go anywhere else.

I came to Abbey Physio for lower back pain that I had been suffering with for a while, I had appointments with Alison and they were amazing.

I had acupuncture and I was given exercises to complete at home to help with the pain. It worked wonders, I finished my sessions feeling like a new person.

Highly recommend this physiotherapist!

The whole team are friendly, professional and go the extra mile to support their clients.

I have found that they have been incredibly thorough with their assessments and create a comprehensive treatment plan, both for treatment at the clinic but also with ways that I can continue to support myself at home.

They have always been spot on with their assessments and advice and I trust their opinion implicitly.

I have benefitted from a wide range of treatment options. They have been fast at referring me on for additional advice when needed.

Most importantly I always feel listened to and understood.

Today Sandra has competed her final day of being a Chartered Physiotherapist! Her retirement marks the end of 40 years of working both in the NHS and private practice. She has been such an asset to Abbey Physiotherapy, bringing a professional but warm patient focused approach to her work here and she will be very much missed.
We wish her all the very best in her retirement and will stay in touch to see how she spends her new found time ...... plenty of golf and tennis not doubt! All the very best wishes from Alison, Catherine, Emma & Sue.

Jez, one of our patients, recently attended the 17th World Dragon Boat Championships in Brandenburg in Germany representing Team GB Senior C (60)

Jez has received physio from Catherine since leaving the military.

He sustained several injuries to his spine, horse tail (nerves) and suffers from chronic pain.

Through regular treatment and hard training to address his injuries, he has been able to surpass all expectations

Last year he raced for Team GB Paradragons and won silver in the 2k race

He made it his plan of action on his 60th birthday to trial for the Grands Senior C Squad which is the able bodies squad.

Not only was he successful in achieving a place, he became double world champion in the 2k and 1k distances

This is a massive achievement on its own - but they didn't stop there - they also collected a bronze medal in the Blue Ribbon 500m event
