If you have experienced premature birth between 16 weeks and 36+6weeks, you may be eligible to take part in this trial to help us better understand pre-term birth.

The trial is being run at George Eliot in partnership with Tommy’s and Imperial College and would only require 1 visit to our research team to take part.

“She is truly an angel” 💙

A huge congratulations to our latest IEXCEL Award winner Healthcare Assistant Tracy, who has been recognised for the incredible care she provides patients and the “immense kindness” shown to family members.

Tracy’s nomination was written by one of those family members who experienced firsthand how she goes above and beyond for families while staying overnight on the ward.

“I felt as though I had known her for a long time,” the nomination read. “She loves what she does, and it shines in her and the wonderful, genuine care she gives.

“In the morning, Tracy would bring me a cup of coffee without me asking. She gave me a lovely knitted comfort blanket and two red knitted hearts, which brought tears to my eyes.”

Patients set to benefit as new Interventional Radiology Suite opened at George Eliot Hospital.

The suite has opened after an 18-month redevelopment project, which makes state of the art services available to the hospital’s patients, many of whom are facing serious health challenges such as cancer and heart disease.
