At LifeCare Residences, being a family-run organisation is at the heart of everything we do. For over 30 years, our values have been built on compassion, respect, and a genuine commitment to providing the very best care for every resident.

Being family-run means we understand just how important it is to feel safe, valued, and at home. We treat every resident with the same kindness and respect we would want for our own loved ones, creating warm and supportive environments where people can truly belong.

Our approach is personal. Decisions are made with care, understanding, and long-term commitment, which allows us to build strong relationships with residents, families, and our dedicated teams. We are incredibly proud to continue growing while still holding onto the values that have guided us from the very beginning – putting people first, supporting our communities, and providing care with heart. Because at Lifecare Residences, caring for people isn’t just our profession – it’s part of who we are

There was a wonderful sense of calm and nostalgia at Grove Place as we welcomed talented harpist Millie to perform for our residents 🎶

The gentle, soothing tones of the harp created a truly magical atmosphere, sparking memories and bringing moments of reflection, joy and relaxation to everyone who attended. Music has a powerful way of connecting us and this special performance is just one part of our ongoing programme of events, designed to enrich daily life at Grove Place through music, creativity and meaningful experiences.

We’re already looking forward to the next performance.

Spring has truly sprung at Grove Place, and our kitchen garden allotments are thriving thanks to the dedication of our resident gardeners. 🌱🌸

To help protect their hard work from some very curious local deer, we’ve installed bespoke protective frames around the allotment beds — keeping our heritage tomatoes, sweet peas and seasonal produce safe while still allowing plenty of sunshine and rain through.

As General Manager Nicolae Seulean shared: “Seeing the passion our residents have for cultivation is inspiring, and it was important to us that their efforts were properly safeguarded.”

We can’t wait to enjoy another colourful and bountiful harvest from our beautiful gardens this season. 🍅🦌

A gentle buzz of excitement has arrived at Grove Place 🐝🌿

We are delighted to welcome our very own honeybees to the meadows of Grove Place. Thanks to the dedication of our gardener, Sean, who recently completed a beekeeping course, the hives are now settling into their carefully prepared new home.

The bees will help pollinate our beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside, while bringing residents even closer to the natural world around them. We are already looking forward to the possibility of our very own Grove Place honey in the future 🍯

At Grove Place, we are proud to nurture a community that values sustainability, wellbeing, and the simple joys of countryside living.

Today we celebrate the compassion, dedication, and professionalism of the incredible nurses who make such a difference in our communities.

Nursing is more than a profession – it’s a calling. Our nurses provide not only expert clinical care, but also kindness, reassurance, and comfort to the residents and families we support. Their knowledge, patience, and commitment help create safe, supportive, and caring environments where people can truly feel at home.

On International Nurses Day, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful nurses. Your dedication, compassion, and hard work do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Retirement is often seen as the start of a new chapter in life — a time to slow down, reflect, and focus on the things that truly bring joy and purpose. During Mental Health Awareness Week, it’s important to recognise how retirement can positively support emotional wellbeing.

For many people, retirement creates space for stronger connections, whether that’s spending more time with family, meeting new friends, or taking part in community activities. These social interactions play a vital role in supporting positive mental health. It can also be a time for rediscovering hobbies and passions. From gardening and reading to creative activities or gentle exercise, having the freedom to explore interests can bring a real sense of fulfilment and happiness.

At LifeCare Residences during Mental Health Awareness Week, we celebrate the importance of connection, purpose, and support at every stage of life. Retirement isn’t just about stepping away from work — it’s about embracing new opportunities for wellbeing, community, and joy.

Discover how retirement can impact mental health. Learn about the emotional effects of retirement and the many benefits it can bring to wellbeing, purpose and overall happiness.
