We received a phone call last week from a lovely lady whose daughter was getting married at Hambleton Hall this week. She asked if we would be able to take the flowers to display in the home after the wedding.
Today we collected them, this is just a very small selection of what we were given. The smell as you walk into the home is incredible and our residents have loved seeing such a selection of different flowers.
Thank you for thinking of us and we wish you a very long and happy marriage.

Reflecting back on a wonderful day on Saturday and looking at all the smiling faces is just amazing. As you may know we do not post our residents faces on social media, but we would like to start the day with some thank yous! The D'Ukettes D'Ukes Of Rutland, Oakham Ukulele Club opened the day with some fabulous songs that got everyone singing and tapping their feet along to. Thank you so much for coming along and entertaining us in the sunshine, what a great start to the afternoon!

A huge thank you from Jess and Emma to everyone for coming along to our first Summer Fair today and making it so fantastic. It was so lovely to see everyone coming together and enjoying the entertainment in the sunshine. Special thanks to all the staff who came together to make this happen both front of house and behind the scenes, with not far off 200 people it would never have worked without you all. Thank you also to the fabulous entertainers who all brought something different to the day. More photos to follow next week

During our recent Friends and Family meetings it was noted that families and residents did not know who our Seniors were. We looked at a few different options and have now implemented a new orange uniform for the Seniors so that you can easily see who is leading the shift on each household.
As always we value any ideas and suggestions and will make positive changes where we can.

We are always seeking to upskill our wonderful team of Registered Nurses at Oakham Grange, and as part of this we have partnered up with LOROS. The team at LOROS offer bespoke training to registered nurses in order that we are able to provide the best possible end of life care to our residents. We understand and appreciate that this is often a difficult topic, and is one that effects us all in different ways, but it is very often the very last thing that we can do for our residents. We are very proud of our Registered Nurses, and are very proud of the quality and standard of end of life care that they deliver. We only have one opportunity to get this right, and the partnership that we have with LOROS will only build upon the skills and experience our Registered Nurses use to deliver the very best care possible during our residents final moments
