Over the past 18 months, Mendip Primary Care Network has been part of a national NHS pilot to improve access to GP services and patient care. With extra investment, we’ve been able to:

- Offer more GP appointments
- Improve continuity – more patients seeing the same GP
- Develop new clinics and team-working with hospital specialists
- Introduce later blood test appointments
- Improve support for older people and those with long-term conditions
- Reduce pressure on hospitals by supporting people better in the community
- Improve staff wellbeing – helping us care for you better

This is all part of our plan to deliver the right care, at the right time, in the right place.

Dispenser vacancy

Part time: 27 hours per week (Weds, Thurs and Friday).

We are looking for a qualified dispenser to join our small and friendly team at Oakhill Surgery. If you have a great eye for detail and can work well in a fast paced, high pressure environment then we would like to hear from you. You will need to have an NVQL2 qualification in dispensing to apply for this position. We work in a beautiful setting with a supportive and encouraging culture, where team working is key.

The job involves processing prescriptions authorised by GPs and prescribing nurses and dispensing in accordance with the principles of good practice. We dispense medication to 85% of our practice population and value great customer care.
