🌼 Volunteer Opportunity: Monday Pop-In Session Helpers
Do you enjoy making people feel welcome?
Would you like to support local families in a relaxed, friendly space?
We’re looking for volunteers to help lead our weekly Monday Pop-In Sessions — a drop-in space for families to enjoy a cuppa, a chat, and playtime with their children.

🕰 When: Mondays, 10:00–12 and or 12-2:00 pm
📍 Where: Home-Start Lorn Family Centre- 12 Stevenson Street, Oban
👩‍👩‍👧 What’s involved?
• Greeting families and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere
• Serving tea, coffee, and light refreshments
• Helping set up and tidy away play and seating areas
• Chatting with parents/carers and offering a listening ear
• Supporting children’s play in a safe, friendly way
✨ No special experience needed — just kindness, reliability, and a willingness to join in. Full support and guidance will be provided.

Overview

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is the illness caused by a new strain of coronavirus first identified in Wuhan city, China. It can cause a cough and/or a fever/high temperature.

Generally, coronavirus can cause more severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems, older people and those with long term conditions like diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease.
