Oban Hospice Dove Services – Easter Weekend

Our services will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. We will re-open as usual at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 7th.

Easter Brings a Splash of Yellow to Oban Town Centre

Easter is the time of year when daffodils burst into full bloom, painting seas of yellow across gardens, roadsides – and right at the heart of our town.

This beautiful picture, courtesy of Oban Hospice fundraiser David Evans, was taken this afternoon, of one of our Oban Hospice Cared flower beds/planters on Gibraltar Street. Bringing such vibrant colour to the town centre is only made possible by your continued generous support and the hard work of our gardening volunteers.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter! 🐣

Dove Centre – Beyond Vision Support Group Meeting - ‘when you’re always welcome to in’

Wednesday, April 1st | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Beyond Vision, supported by the Argyll and Bute Council Sensory Support Team, will be holding their monthly meeting at the Dove Centre.

This month, Sarah Black from the Sensory Teams will be delivering a presentation on hearing impairment, covering useful equipment that can assist individuals in their everyday lives.

Do you or anyone you know live with any form of sight loss – such as retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, or similar conditions? Beyond Vision is a local support group for people living with any level of sight loss. Members come together to discuss topics related to vision impairment, share coping strategies, explore assistive technology, and exchange practical hints and tips for daily life.

As always, tea and coffee will be available throughout the session! ☕️
