It’s getting better BUT I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been the only man in a yoga room.
And I’ve heard all the comments before…“Yoga’s too feminine.”“Not really for men.” “Is it not just stretching?”
🤯
But honestly, I wonder if it’s not the yoga people are uncomfortable with… maybe it’s the stillness. The quiet. The feeling.
Because yoga, healing, meditation and wellbeing spaces ask us to slow down and actually face ourselves without distraction.
And that can be uncomfortable.
Living on the west coast of Scotland, I see so many women showing up for healing, movement, connection and self-developmen AND it’s great - I love you all ….while men often stay away from it.
Why do you think that is?
Do healing and wellbeing still come across as feminine?Or have men just never been shown that looking after themselves can also be strength 💪🏽?
