Having a physical health condition that follows us around all day every day, is tiring but not your fault....

We can often feel ashamed, embarrassed, and frustrated at our health. It can feel like a monster that keeps growing and saying "you're useless, worthless, rubbish" and often we feel lost and unsure where to turn for help and support.

Today is commonly known as 'Blue Monday', but we can feel low in mood any day of the year. It's important to be together to talk about anything over a cuppa (at Lifted Therapy, we're usually talking about our pets or The Traitors on TV!).

It can be helpful to have friendly conversations, whether that's at home, at work, at the local coffee shop, etc! Along as it's with someone you trust and you can be together and feel a sense of belonging and support.

Hello πŸ‘‹ we're back after taking some time off over Christmas and we hope you all had a restful time (however you chose to spend it) and we are wishing you a calm & restful start to the New Year!

Often we might see the New Year as a time to:
☁️ reflect on our health & wellbeing
☁️ reflect on what we want from 2026
☁️ setting goals or resolutions
☁️ reflecting on the past year
☁️ thinking about what we want to let go of
☁️ celebrating getting through the past year
☁️ simply just being us & being present in the moment

However, you see the New Year there is no specific way to see & feel it! We thought this photo really captured how we might feel at New Year - letting go of what has been & thinking about what might be in 2026 🌳

Hello πŸ‘‹ i'm SiΓ’n, a CBT & EMDR Therapist and the founder of and we're so glad you've found us! Whether you have recently started following us or you've followed us for a while, we thought we'd do an introduction!

We specialise in offering therapies for physical health conditions (including diabetes, cancer & pain), anxiety, depression and PTSD. Offering in-person appointments at our cosy cottage in Odiham & online - giving you flexibility around your appointments! (We know how busy life gets!).

πŸŽ… Take time for self-care: taking time for yourself to do something you love and value, activities that boost your mood and giving yourself time to relax

πŸŽ… Exercise: we don't just mean the physical kind (though that's good too!) we mean the emotional kind such as writing a gratitude diary, re-evaluating negative thoughts and engaging with mindfulness.

πŸŽ… Talking to others: sharing how you feel with someone you trust, telling them what's happening in your life, or spending time with them

πŸŽ… Planning: it can be helpful to plan what you'll do over the Christmas period, and feeling organised can help us feel less stressed
