Dental Access Portal

The Dental Access Portal is the nhs platform where patients waiting for placement at an NHS Dental practice can register their interest.

To be eligible to apply through the Dental Access Portal, citizens must:

Be aged 16 or over
Live at an address in Wales for more than six months of the year or attend a Welsh GP practice.

The Dental Access Portal can be found via the following link https://dhcw.nhs.wales/product-directory/our-digital-services/dental-access-portal/

You may have to wait for an appointment but please be assured you will definitely be contacted when a dental practice has capacity to arrange a routine nhs appointment.

In the meantime, if you are experiencing any dental pain, please contact the Dental Helpline on 0300 123 5060.

⭐️ National Dental Nurse Day was on 22 November and we’re still celebrating! ⭐️

Our dental nurses are the heartbeat of the practice, the calm in the chaos, the smile behind your child’s sticker… and sometimes the brave souls who let you squeeze their hand like they’re made of titanium.

If at any point they have:

• Held your hand or your child’s hand
• Reassured you when you were nervous
• Praised you for surviving that appointment like a champ
• Encouraged your little one with a sticker (or two)
• Found a way to squeeze you into a fully booked day
• Made you laugh when you absolutely needed it

…then today is their day and they deserve to be celebrated.

✨ From Dental Nurse to Dental Therapist – with First Class Honours! ✨

We couldn’t be prouder of our very own Georgia Thomas 💙

Georgia started with us as a newly qualified dental nurse, and from day one, she brought hard work, grace, and a heart full of kindness to everything she did. While working full-time, she smashed her Dental Radiography and other advanced courses, stepped up as Practice Manager, and then earned a place at Bristol University 🎓

And yesterday … she’s officially a Dental Hygienist and Therapist — graduating with FIRST CLASS HONOURS! 🦷🎉

G, you’ve done it. You’re an inspiration to us all. You’ve shown what’s possible when passion meets perseverance.

Seven years ago, we took over the practice and it’s been one of the greatest privileges of our lives. We truly love the Valley, and we love our patients.
