I’m so looking forward to our next in person Women’s Circle in Okehampton, Thursday 24th August. Women’s Circles are a wonderful way to reconnect with yourself and connect with other like-minded women.
A way to find a sense of authentic community that is so often craved in our busy day to day lives. They are a safe place to explore the complexity of life, sharing both positive and negative in a judgement free space.
Together we will open a brave and safe space for sharing, a chance to give voice to whatever is on our mind and whatever we feel needs to be spoken. It is a place to reconnect, connect, develop and deepen a sense of compassion with ourselves and with others.
Guilt free time to just 'be'.
Tickets £6.50 or £3.50 accessible option. Feel free to contact me for more information on 07773817784.

✨Solstice Circle, Wednesday 21st June Heavitree Exeter ✨
Kate Weiler and I are working together to hold a summer solstice Women’s Circle. Join us to sit by the fire, listen, and deeply connect.

This is a sharing circle for women or those who identify as women or non-binary, and we are gathering on the evening of Summer Solstice.

Circles are a space for connection and deep listening. We believe that this type of connection is nourishing and healing; that hearing and witnessing each others’ experiences leads us to feel more compassion towards one another, and in turn to ourselves. On this Summer Solstice, or Midsummer - we invite you to join us for a couple of hours of nourishment.

This is for you if:

You are longing for a space to be just be, away from it all, for an hour or two.
You struggle to create space for yourself and your own needs.
You long to connect with other women in a meaningful, human way.
You are happy to be in a space which is an advice-free zone - where we listen, but we don't try to fix.

This is a sharing circle for anyone who identifies as a woman or non-binary. Join us to sit by the fire, listen, and deeply connect.

We are back NEXT Tuesday 13th June

Mother’s Circles are grounding and nurturing spaces to find your feet after birth. Our first few sessions have started off beautifully and gently. Stories and experiences shared together, providing moments of space, ease, reflection and connection.

Warming cups of cacao, a grounding meditation and space to talk through the journey and experience of new motherhood, connecting with other women walking the same path.

Providing an oasis of calm in period of transition.

If this sounds like something that would interest you, I would love to have you here. Tickets £6.50, accessible options available.

Starting this week: Mother’s Circles for new mums and babies. A safe and nurturing space to reconnect with yourself and with others. A space to rest a little while, to refill your cup and to be held in your experiences.

A supportive and confidential space to talk about whatever needs to be spoken, somewhere to share the joys and challenges of new motherhood.

Motherhood is a journey that is not meant to be walked alone. We are here to create the village.

A note on vulnerability

Being vulnerable can feel like jumping out of a plane with no parachute. It can feel utterly terrifying to bare our souls. As human beings we are wired for connection and being vulnerable, showing our less than perfect parts, perceived shame or heavy grief feels like a sure fire way to shut down any possibility of connection.

When in actuality it’s the complete opposite. It is in those moments of vulnerability that we create the most authentic connections.

As a Circle facilitator and someone who holds safe and trauma informed space in a variety of settings, I often wonder how vulnerable I should be. As a domestic abuse survivor I often wonder how safe it is to be authentically vulnerable.

Last Friday I held a small beautiful small Circle and I found myself wondering this again. It took a moment of courage before I was able to share what was on my mind but what I had to say was followed by a cascade of depth and intimacy and resonance from the other women there. This is always the way.

In sharing vulnerably we create space for others to also share vulnerably and we learn our experiences are not so dissimilar. We find comfort in shared experiences, the thread weaving our human existence together becomes visible and we learn that we are not alone. That our human experience is complex, it’s messy, it’s deep, multifaceted. At times raw. At times beautiful. Never perfect.

The courage to be vulnerable paves the way for authentic connection.
