Hyrox Perth 2025.... Wow. What a journey!
My first ever Hyrox and I went solo open to see what I was capable of.
I lost count of how many times I heard " oh my god you are crazy!". And let me tell you, that shakes your nerves. As if I wasn't doubting myself enough already.
Did I want to quit? Sometimes! I trained intensively for several months and got to the stage I felt burnt out and "over-it". Before the comp I said I'll never do this again.
BUT... I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere, the buzz, the sheer joy in crossing that finish line and knowing everything I did was worth it and more. For me, my mindset, my kids, and everyone who supported me along the way. β€οΈ
And I know that going forward, a well balanced training plan, less intense to avoid burnout, is the key.
On top of this I could not have achieved such a fitness and body transformation without an incredible nutrition plan. And I have Emilie to thank for that! I sought out her help for a gut cleanse and reset months ago as I was having issues following gastro. She helped me so much. I decided to stick with her all the way to Hyrox! She helped me shred, build strength and perfectly fuel each training session.
And on game day I couldn't have felt better. perfectly planned nutrition definitely got me through with a smile on my face!
So the key is a fantastic training plan combined with a great nutrition plan and you cannot lose!
