As Osteopaths we do our best to stay alert for issues that may not be the exact reason for which a patient presents. This has been even more important during the past 18 months when clients have been attending our clinics as an alternative to GP consultations.

A thank you and knowing a patient receives the correct course of treatment, is more valuable than any payment. These are some of the best days we get in clinic 💚

“Dear Alistair,

Just wanted to drop you a note to say a massive thank you for bringing to my attention at the start of the year the discolouration of my skin. As you know I had it checked out and from then things developed and snowballed into a decomposing liver. It’s official name is NASH Cirrhosis.

It decomposed rapidly and went into self-destruct mode making a liver transplant urgent and inevitable. I have since had the transplant and back home on the road to recovery but can’t help think if you hadn’t brought it to my attention I may not be here!

So from …….. and I, a huge and massive thank you for something words cannot describe!

Super congratulations and so happy for Rob Atkinson. I have known Rob and consulted with him intermittently since he was a teenager. He has worked so hard, dropping out the Football League (from Fulham under 21s or 23s can’t remember 🤭) because he wanted to play “proper football” to work his way back up via league one where he was named in the team of the season last season. He has now just signed for Bristol City.

So pleased to see his dedication and hard work pay off. Great work Rob! ⚽️🎉🙌

Throughout my career I can look back at specific moments that formulated my approach to health and wellness. As an Osteopath I learnt to look at injury, degenerative changes and pain management from a perspective different to that we were led to believe was “the only way!” Further down the line the Chek institute solidified my holistic principles of considering all aspects of what makes us healthy human beings. This week I can say I experienced another shift based more on our ability to balance ourselves from our very deepest musculoskeletal components. may look simple in pictures, it is anything but. Winding up tension in your system to decompress you own spine is extremely challenging, but equally rewarding. Thanks you for your time and knowledge. I really look forward to sharing this with family, friends and clients alike to enrich their health and wellbeing. 🙏💚

Feels so good to finally be back at an advanced training course. Looking forward to the practical Friday/Sat but great to be getting the anatomy revision in. Reminds me how amazing the human body is. 🙏💚
