On Friday, we had two little faces on the premises for an afternoon of litter picking in and around Portway. Such a wonderful thing to see in a world of phones, social media and young people.

Weโ€™ve definitely got the Friday feel good vibes here at Portway today.

The photos are just in from our Flourish internal training programme and the graduation of our team on the successful completion of their care certificates.

As a family-run Group, we very much believe in internal training from within and empowering our staff to learn as as much as possible whilst being there to support them every step of the way. After all, they are our work family too ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป and we want to look after their development as much as we can.๏ฟผ

Who doesnโ€™t love a good film, popcorn and a cuppa to top it all off?

Our residents had a great time at our movie night, last night. Quiet chitter chatter, gentle munching and great concentration on the plot and characters. ๐ŸŽฅ

By actively engaging your mind and reading great stories, you can keep your mind young, sharp, and healthy for your entire life.

From beautiful singing by Hannah on New Yearโ€™s Eve to delicious food, party games, chit chats and one-to-one conversations, we think Christmas and New Year (& the days in between) Portway style couldnโ€™t have gone much better, this year.

And as the decorations slowly come down, our spirits will remain high for January when another burst of fantastic events and activities will be organised.

As our residents settle in for a joyful afternoon and evening ahead of the New Year celebrations, weโ€™re busy wishing them a very happy New Year and making the last day of 2025 as joyful as possible.

We also send our warmest wishes to all of our families and friends who follow us here on Facebook. Thank you for your ongoing support, and for every like and love you share with us. We hope 2026 is a good one for you ๐Ÿซถ.

We're also take a moment to remember those we have loved and lost too. They remain very much in our hearts and thoughts, today and always.

Christmas at Portway was full of joy, laughter and festive spirit.

From the gorgeous table settings to the small attention to detail in the decorations, the food, the games and the smiles all round were everything we could have hoped for and more ๐Ÿค—.
