From 20th April 2026 how you book appointments with us will be changing. We will be introducing a new Total Triage appointment system.

This change means you will no longer need to call or queue at 8am for an appointment. Instead, every request will be reviewed so we can make sure patients receive the right care, at the right time.

How the new system will work:
• Patients requesting a GP appointment will complete an online form available on our website.
• If you cannot access the internet, please call the surgery and our reception team will complete the form with you.
• A doctor will review the information submitted.
• You will then be contacted by text message or telephone, with the most appropriate next step (this may mean you will be signposted to a local chemist, offered a nurse appointment, booked a same day face to face/telephone apointment or pre-booked a routine appointment in advance)

This approach helps us make sure every patient request is assessed by a clinician and that appointments are allocated based on clinical need, not who gets through on the phone first.
We understand that changes to how services work can take a little getting used to, but we believe this system will make accessing care fairer, simpler and more effective for all our patients.

Thank you for your continued support

We will reopen as normal on Tuesday 7th April at 8am.

Next week, the resident doctors in Hospital & General Practice will be on strike, including those at Warley Medical Centre.

It will mean we have alot less capacity than normal in our appointment system during those days. If your need is not urgent for that day, please ask for a pre-booked appointment within the next 2 weeks (our normal pre-bookable time frame.)

This half-term, parents and carers across the Black Country are being encouraged to check their child’s vaccination record and book any missed appointments ✅

📍 Local catch-up clinics are available, making it easy to get children protected without missing school time.

Vaccinations offered at these clinics include:
• MMR (measles, mumps and rubella)
• MenACWY (meningitis A, C, W and Y)
• DTaP/IPV (diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio)
• HPV (human papillomavirus, where age-appropriate)

If you’re not sure whether your child is up to date, don’t worry – the team will check and advise you when you book.

Vaccinations help protect your child from serious illnesses and reduce the spread of infection in schools and the wider community.

Appointments are required, so please contact your local clinic to book ➡️ https://orlo.uk/wUXaI

The MMRV vaccine protects against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chickenpox) and is an important part of the childhood vaccination schedule.

If your child has missed any vaccines, or if you have recently moved to the UK from another country, it is never too late to catch up. The NHS offers free catch-up vaccinations to help ensure children and adults are protected and up to date. Checking your vaccination record and booking missing doses can help protect both your family and the wider community. 💉🛡️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

We are honoured to share two long service awards this January. Sharon and Janet both joined us in 1996 and celebrate their 30 year anniversary at Warley Medical Centre. We would like to thank them for all their hard work and care over the years. Congratulations both 🎉🎉

We anticipate that our service may be impacted by the bad weather tomorrow. If our clinicians struggle to get to work on Friday then we will endeavour to let patients with pre-booked appointments know as soon as possible and make suitable arrangements to reschedule.
