The MMRV vaccine protects against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chickenpox) and is an important part of the childhood vaccination schedule.

If your child has missed any vaccines, or if you have recently moved to the UK from another country, it is never too late to catch up. The NHS offers free catch-up vaccinations to help ensure children and adults are protected and up to date. We are honoured to share two long service awards this January. Sharon and Janet both joined us in 1996 and celebrate their 30 year anniversary at Warley Medical Centre. We would like to thank them for all their hard work and care over the years. Congratulations both 🎉🎉

We anticipate that our service may be impacted by the bad weather tomorrow. If our clinicians struggle to get to work on Friday then we will endeavour to let patients with pre-booked appointments know as soon as possible and make suitable arrangements to reschedule.

This week, the resident doctors in Hospital & General Practice will be on strike, including those at Warley Medical Centre.

It will mean we have alot less capacity than normal in our appointment system during those days. If your need is not urgent for that day, please ask for a pre-booked appointment within the next 2 weeks (our normal pre-bookable time frame.

This week is AMR-Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness week. A reminder to us all that to keep antibiotics working they must be used appropriately. Antibiotics don't help coughs and colds and inappropriate use increases the risk of resistance to antibiotic treatment in the future
