The Recovery College

The Recovery College The Recovery College: A journey through learning together The Recovery College - aiming to support people on their journey to recovery.

The principles of the Recovery College are to enable people with mental health challenges to have the same opportunities in life as everyone else. The aim is to support people on their personal journey towards a meaningful and satisfying life, where hope, opportunity and choice are the key elements. The college aims to help people to become experts in their own self-care, and enable family, friends, carers and staff to better understand mental health so that they can best help people towards recovery. Courses are co-produced with users, carers and professionals working in partnership.

Yesterday we had our first blended End of Term Celebration for our students! We had a mixture of students attending face to face at Quayside House in Sandwell and Online.

It was a great morning filled with musical performances, poetry and our epic Recovery College quiz rounds. We focused on the theme Happiness Happens, thinking about what brings us joy and things we are grateful for this term.

New for our Autumn Term!

Nature prescribing is a guided conversation that takes place between the session facilitators and students. This encourages students to really notice the natural world around them and find ways to improve their mental and physical health through a deeper connection with nature. We will be providing activities that are accessible anywhere. This isn't a challenge, it's a personal invitation to feel closer to nature.

With co-produced content from the RSPB, we are proud to present our new Nature Prescribing course.
