There’s a type of exhaustion that doesn’t get talked about enough.
The challenge of trying to heal while also trying to survive. The constant tug-of-war between growth and survival, between acknowledging your wounds and meeting life’s demands, between doing the inner work and just keeping up with everyday life.
It’s like being torn in two—one part of you is processing and acknowledging the pain, while the other is acting as though nothing’s wrong.
It feels like you're constantly juggling two worlds: one that's demanding and urgent and another that requires deep vulnerability and patience.
You’re building new habits, but also trying to hit deadlines; you’re processing trauma in between dates in your diary, sometimes its a breakdown in your car while parked on Tesco's car park, or it could be the quiet moments of release when no one’s watching.
Healing doesn’t fit into the picture-perfect Instagram posts about self-care. It’s messy, it’s unpredictable, and at times it feels overwhelming.
But this messy, chaotic space—this in-between place where you’re both breaking and rebuilding—is sacred.
It’s where grief and growth meet, and where, in the midst of all of it, you show a quiet but profound strength in how you continue to show up for both parts of the journey.
In the chaos, you are becoming stronger, more resilient, and more whole. Don’t forget to celebrate how far you’ve come, even on the days when it feels like too much.
You are doing the hardest, most important work, and every step you take, no matter how small, is a victory.
Keep going—you’ve got this. 💗💗💗
