As my husband thanked me for arranging our Visiting Angels Manchester East Christmas party, I watched back his speech and was taken straight back to 2022, the year our journey truly began.

That was the year we stepped into a path i didn’t fully understand at the time, one that would test our strength in ways we could never have anticipated.

Since then, there have been tears of sadness and tears of joy. The road to where we are today has taken its toll on us both. Watching my brother survive a haemorrhagic stroke, followed by the sudden loss of your brother, was a profound reminder of how fragile and precious life is.

Today, grief found me again as I mourned my cousin, taken suddenly by a heart attack. Yet through every loss and every heartbreak, faith carried us forward, and you remained my rock, as I have been yours.

We have faced every storm together, drawing strength from faith, resilience, and each other. Even when our hearts were heavy, we continued to show up with purpose and compassion for our clients and our Angels, trusting that every test has meaning.

Winning the Great British Care Awards was a blessing and a moment of pride, yet I will still be glad to see the end of this year. It has been deeply challenging and emotionally demanding.

Long after Visiting Angels, it will be our love, our strength, and the shared values and dreams that guide us that will continue to shape our journey together.

Alano, Badar, and Terry certainly had everyone singing along. From festive kisses under the mistletoe, with beautiful Jodie spreading the Christmas cheer, to Christmas games, it was a truly wonderful day shared with people I love and care for, both personally and professionally.

A heartfelt thank you to my amazing husband. Without your support, today would not have been as magical as it was.

Badar and I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and every success and happiness in the New Year. Did you all have an amazing time?

Visiting Angels Manchester East Christmas Party!

From live singers to party food, games, and lots of laughter, Visiting Angels Manchester East hosted our Christmas party today and what an incredible celebration it was.

We were truly overwhelmed by the fantastic turnout from our clients, their families, and our wonderful Angels. Photos and videos will be shared very soon and will reflect just how special the day was, as some moments really need no words.

A heartfelt thank you to our special guest Alano, who serenaded us throughout the day. A true gentleman who took time out of his busy schedule to sing for us before heading off to spread festive cheer as Santa at another venue.

Thank you to our amazing team of Angels who brought their clients along, and an extra special thank you to Bev, who took the time to pick up and drop off our clients. Bev, you are a beautiful soul.

A special thank you to Jodii Harthan for supporting us throughout the day and making sure everything ran smoothly. The cake she baked was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our Christmas theme.

Thank you to Kim Nolan our team member who FaceTimed us all the way from Switzerland to say hello to our clients, families, and Angels.
Such a lovely surprise.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Terry Dean who joined Alano and Badar on the microphone and kept us all entertained, along with our Angel Galina.

Thank you to all the family members of our clients who attended to join us or support their loved ones, and to the family members of our Angels who also came along to celebrate.

Our team meeting, combined with the collection of Christmas presents, created a wonderfully festive, warm, and uplifting atmosphere. It was a joyful and positive meeting that reflected the spirit of the season and strengthened our sense of togetherness as a team.

Christmas Jumper Day Winner!

I am deeply grateful for the nomination for the Business Mum of the Year Award at the Women's Business Awards
Although I finished as a finalist, seeing my name on the screen was a powerful reminder of how far I have come. After a particularly challenging year for Badar and me, reaching this milestone was not only an honour but a true celebration of resilience, determination, and growth. I am incredibly proud of this achievement and remain fully motivated, inspired, and focused on returning stronger, with my sights firmly set on winning in 2026.
