Today, alongside our Angels, I attended the service to celebrate the life of John Kenneth Tuft, lovingly known as Ken. Surrounded by his family, friends, and loved ones, we listened to the order of service with heavy hearts.

Hearing Jodie, one of Ken’s Angels, share her memories of him brought us all to tears.
It was an incredibly emotional day, but also a true honour to have been part of Ken’s life right until the very end.
He will always remain our beautiful Angel.

Thank you to Ken’s family for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful service.

To our beautiful Angels,

We wanted to share something very special with you.

Jill, Ken’s daughter, dropped these flowers and card off at the office as a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who cared for her dad. Her gesture and her words come from a place of deep gratitude and love.

Ken’s passing has been incredibly difficult, and we know how much of yourselves you gave while caring for him. The kindness, patience, dignity and genuine love you showed did not go unnoticed. It meant the world to Ken and to his family.

Jill has also asked if any of you would like to share fond memories or special moments you have of Ken that could be used at his funeral. If there is something that stays with you, whether it is a smile, a conversation or a small moment that mattered, it would be received with so much appreciation.

Most importantly, we want you to know how proud we are of you. Caring through loss is never easy, and you carried yourselves with compassion, professionalism and heart. We are here for you if you need support, a chat or simply a moment to pause.

Thank you for being the Angels that you are.
Ken was truly loved and beautifully cared for.

With love and gratitude,
Badar and Roxie 💛

We’re incredibly proud to share that Visiting Angels Manchester East raised £550 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice through our Christmas raffle.

After Dr Kershaw’s cared for two of our clients last year, supporting the hospice felt especially close to our hearts.
Roxie, alongside team member Kim, was honoured to deliver the cheque in person and thank Jill and the team for the compassion, dignity, and care they show families every single day.

As a multi award winning home care provider, based on Featherstall Road at Prospect House in Oldham, we believe care goes beyond the home it is about standing together as a community and supporting the services that make a real difference.

A huge thank you to our staff, clients, families, and everyone who supported the raffle. Your kindness helps keep vital local services running.

Good night and God bless you, Ken.

Today has been an extremely difficult day for Badar, Jodie, and I.
We spent the morning at our client’s home, where Ken sadly passed away.

Our incredible team of Angels cared for Ken with such compassion and dignity, and we want to sincerely thank every one of you who was involved in ensuring he received the exceptional care he truly deserved.

To our Angels please know we are here for you. If anyone needs support, a moment to talk, or simply some time, do not hesitate to reach out.

Gone, but never forgotten.
We love you, Ken.

With love,

Badar, Roxie and Jodie

We are incredibly proud of Terrence (Terry) Dean, the husband of one of our valued clients, for receiving the District Commander’s Citizens Commendation from Greater Manchester Police.

Terry’s courageous actions, calm thinking, and compassion in a critical moment are nothing short of inspirational. His willingness to step forward, administer CPR, and provide professional, dignified care under immense pressure reflects the very best of humanity and community spirit.

At Visiting Angels, we have the privilege of supporting individuals and families like Terry and his loved ones every day. Moments like this remind us that care extends far beyond the services we provide it lives in the strength, kindness, and selflessness of the people within our community.

Terry, you are a credit to your family, to our community, and to all those whose lives you have touched.
The Visiting Angels team are incredibly proud of you.

We would like to congratulate Temi on graduating with a Master of Science in Project Management and let him know how incredibly proud we are of everything he has achieved.

Temi completed his degree before committing to his role as a live-in carer, and during his time as a student he also completed his training with us. His dedication, professionalism, and compassion have always shone through.

Lionel has built a wonderful relationship with Temi, and you can truly see Temi’s commitment in the way he consistently meets all of Lionel’s care needs.

We hope your graduation was a proud and special moment for you and your family, Temi. You should be very proud of all you have accomplished.
