Hi everyone

The Primary Care Team has received a number of queries over the last few days regarding the position on the use of face masks from yesterday. NHS England has confirmed that the current infection prevention control guidelines remain in place across all healthcare settings, including the need for universal use of face masks for staff and face masks or coverings for all patients and visitors (unless exempt) and physical distancing of at least one metre. SICK NOTES.
Did you know you can self-certify for 28 days?

The government have announced that employees can now take up to 28 days off work if they’re ill. You do not need to provide any proof of illness to your employer until after the 28 days.

Fit notes are free if the employee has been ill for more than 28 days when they ask for one. The doctor might charge a fee if they ask for the fit note earlier.
