AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE FOR POSITIVE EMOTIONAL HEALTH AND WELL BEING

Not only does an aromatherapy massage help you sleep better, but it also eases away all that stress and reduces your anxiety levels. It even helps when you’re feeling down and depressed…

Using massage to move the body into a more relaxed state helps you calm down in stressful situations. By reducing the levels of the stress hormone, cortisol, your heart beat slows, blood pressure falls and you’ll feel all your concerns start slipping away.

At the same time, massage also increases the level of the feel-good mood-enhancing hormones - dopamine and serotonin - in your brain, which help relieve depression. And just the fact that many of us find comfort in human touch and connection, a massage can also lift your spirits when you’re feeling down.

Pairing your massage with essential oils known to calm and soothe the soul will improve your overall feeling of emotional well-being even further. Time to feel good about yourself…

Health Benefits Of Aromatherapy

1. Improves sleep

Improves sleep

One of the major benefits of aromatherapy oils is that it helps to de-stress. Often, insomnia can be a result of extreme stress, fatigue and anxiety. Using essential oils in a diffuser or aromatherapy candle can be extremely beneficial. Oils, like lavender oil, rose oil, ylang-ylang oil and chamomile oil, when used in a diffuser release tiny particles in the air. This air, when inhaled sends signals to the brain. The scent triggers the feel-good parts of the brain, putting one to a blissful night of sleep.

2. Relaxation

According to studies, it was found that patients who suffered from anxiety and stress reported that their perceived levels of anxiety were significantly reduced after aromatherapy sessions. It was also said that they felt positive, energized and relaxed following the therapy. Thus, oils such as lavender and chamomile calm down the sympathetic nervous system which is responsible for physical stress-related symptoms such as a faster heartbeat rate and sweaty palms.

3. Joint Pain

Joint Pain

Topical application and massaging of aromatherapy oils on stiff joints and tense muscles can cause a world of a difference, over consistent use. The oils are said to be absorbed into the skin, thus working on the target problem areas. Ginger oil and turmeric oil are proven to be highly beneficial in treating joint pain.

4. Treat Respiratory Problems

Certain citrus aromatherapy oils such as peppermint oil and lemon oil have antiseptic properties which help cleanse the air of harmful fungus, bacteria and moulds that are responsible for respiratory problems such as consistent sneezing, congestion and cough.

6. Reduce The Severity Of Cancer Symptoms

With cancer come a lot of pain, discomfort and stress. Thus, aromatherapy is highly sought out by patients suffering from cancer for pain management and stress reduction. Apart from that, some oils reduce the severity of symptoms such as nausea, aches and pain, fatigue and depression.

7. Digestive Issues

If you’re looking for the perfect way to treat yourself and relax, then a massage is a great option. We’re letting you know the benefits of a full-body massage.

A massage is a fantastic way to de-stress, and with regular appointments, you will notice a real difference in how your body and mind feel. Our therapists use quality oils to provide you with the best experience possible.

What to expect from a full-body massage
A full-body massage has the power to provide ultimate relaxation for you. During this type of therapy, you can expect to be massaged across many problem areas in the body. These problem areas can include the neck, back, shoulders, legs and feet, where tension can often reside. In addition to these areas, you may also receive massage therapy for the head and arms.

During your massage treatment, you’ll be asked to lie in different positions so that the therapist can complete the massage. Using oils, the massage therapist will carefully ease knots and tension out of your body.

At 💗 BeautyBare Lux 💗 , We provide a calm atmosphere through our friendly team and minimal noise and lighting. This is so that you can be comfortable and alone with your thoughts during the treatments.

What are the benefits of a full-body massage?
Massages are an effective way of reducing stress and healing the body. Let’s get into the rest of the benefits of a full-body massage.

Reduces muscle tension and discomfort
Muscle tension can be uncomfortable to deal with. Most of the time, muscle tension is caused by stress or exercise. It can cause the body to feel stiff and more difficult to move.

A massage can help relieve the tension in the muscles, allowing you to move more freely and with reduced aches and pain. A relaxing massage may also help to correct bad posture and minimise muscle spasms.

Decreases stress hormones
Stress is something that we all have to deal with from time to time, and a massage can help us to deal with it more easily. Cortisol is one of the main stress hormones, which increases the level of sugar in the bloodstream.

A massage helps to increase the more positive hormones around the body, such as endorphins, which replace these stress hormones.

Improves circulation and blood flow
Massage therapy is extremely effective at moving blood around the body. The techniques and pressure used can help to heal muscles throughout the body. As the pressure is alleviated, new blood can flow through. The increased blood flow as a result of massages can help to support your blood pressure. Speak to a doctor if you’re experiencing symptoms of high blood pressure.

A massage encourages relaxation and helps to support the immune system, nervous system and overall health. Some types of massage can also help to reduce headaches.

benefits of massage therapy
Improves skin
The skin begins to glow more as tension is released from the body in multiple places. This occurs due to the massaging techniques allowing blood to flow through the body more easily. An improved skin tone can also help you to achieve a more youthful appearance.

Improves recovery of soft tissue injuries
Each massage therapist is highly trained to use the most beneficial techniques for your massage. Due to the changes in pressure during a massage, the body allows more oxygen to flow to organs and tissue around the body. Massage therapy can help to aid recovery after a sports injury.

Increases flexibility and movement
All of the benefits we’ve mentioned so far are the reasons why many people experience increased flexibility after having regular massages. Generally, the body feels less tense, and injuries may be on the road to recovery. This means that the body can move more freely.

Reduces anxiety and depression
In the same way that massages help to decrease the amount of cortisol in the body, they actually increase feel-good hormones, such as serotonin. This can help to reduce feelings of anxiety and depression.

Serotonin is responsible for many things, such as mood, sleep, digestion and more. Regular massage can be a great form of physical contact for you and can boost your mental health.

Massage treatment is an excellent way to reduce stress, boost the immune system and increase relaxation in the body. Get in touch if you want to know more about our full-body massages. We’re always happy to help. For Full body massage half an hour £30 or 1 hour £40 currently on offer.

Body Massage.

Massage is known to decrease cortisol levels in the brain while increasing serotonin and dopamine, which is excellent for anyone that needs a good night’s sleep. As a result, you’ll also find that stress levels will decrease, and this helps you sleep more freely anyway.

Another thing to consider is that some people with insomnia are unable to sleep due to pain. Massage helps individuals manage their pain levels and provides relief from tension throughout the body, whether it’s related to an injury or stressors. Helps with insomnia.

2. Less Muscle Pain

From time to time, everyone is going to have sore muscles, and this can lead to other issues, including injuries, stress on the body, or loss of muscle function. Managing pain with massage therapy is a huge benefit because your circulation will improve and pain will decrease at the same time.

Whether you’re in pain because you’ve had an injury or because of a chronic condition, massage may be able to help you relieve some of the tension in your muscles that is causing that discomfort.

3. Boosts Your Immunity

Many of the massage therapy benefits that people are most familiar with are immediate effects, such as less pain or better sleep. However, massages will also boost your immune system and endocrine response.

A study performed in Los Angeles found that people who had gotten 45-minute massages had more white blood cells that defend the body from different diseases (lymphocytes). In addition to this, participants were found to have lower levels of the molecules that are partially to blame for inflammation in the body (cytokines) and decreased cortisol levels (the stress hormone).

Massage is a very useful thing for people that naturally have low immunity levels. Because we know that massage will decrease stress levels, people that regularly get massaged might be less likely to get sick.

4. Counteracts Sitting Down All Day

Sitting for increased periods of time is not good for the body, but many of us have to sit all day for our professions. Massage is capable of counteracting the imbalances that many people get in their postures due to extended hours of sitting.

Because blood flow is also a concern for individuals that spend a lot of time being sedentary, massage is also helpful for people that need improved circulation. Furthermore, it will help with upper or lower back pain that can also come from an uncomfortable chair.

5. Improves Flexibility

Are you someone that is interested in yoga or gymnastics, but doesn’t feel they have the flexibility to get started? Getting regular massages can help enhance your performance in these types of activities, but also in your daily life.

Massage focuses on your muscles, connective tissues, and joints (among other areas), which are all important for flexibility.

Because massage will stimulate the production of lubricants that your body naturally creates within the body, it also improves your elasticity. Massage will help you with your range of motion and will make you less injury-prone as you have more protection around your joints.

6. Promotes General Relaxation

You will have decreased tension, and as a result, you’ll have an easier time relaxing after you get a massage. It is a lot easier to get into a relaxed state when you’re not in pain or haven’t been sleeping as well.

Getting a massage means your body is more prepared to unwind and be content without distraction, which you may need otherwise if you’re feeling stressed out or anxious.

If you’re someone that feels like they struggle to wind down after a long day, getting regular massages may be able to help you.

7. Fights Depression and Anxiety

Many people experience a feeling of elation after a massage and this is mostly due to the changes in brain chemicals, as we discussed previously, that occur during a massage. However, this isn’t just a temporary thing; it has been shown that people that get massages on a regular basis have less anxiety, depressive symptoms, hostility, and anger.

Being in a better mood overall and feeling more comfortable in your body will help you in your day-to-day life.

Reap the Benefits of Massage Therapy Today

If you’ve never had a massage before or weren’t sure if it was something you were interested in, learning about these benefits of massage therapy may make you want to book an appointment.

Massage is great for people that want to lower their stress levels, decrease pain, improve their overall bodily functions, and enhance their mood all at the same time. Even a single massage will show you that these advantages can happen for you, too. Decreases tightness, achiness, and heaviness
Increases function of the immune system
Decreases fibrotic scar tissue from surgical procedures
Preventative treatment for lymphedema as well as curative
Bring clarity and understanding to your condition. Why not give us a try 💗BeautyBare Lux 💗 for half an hour £30 or 1 hour £40.

7 Health Benefits of Reflexology

Is a foot massage healthy? What about a leg massage? The answer to both of these questions is yes! In fact, here are seven reflexology benefits you can enjoy at your next appointment or even at home.

1. Lower Blood Pressure & Improves Circulation

One of the most well-known benefits of foot reflexology is that it helps to lower blood pressure and improve circulation. As we mentioned before, foot massages work to stimulate and increase blood flow by relaxing the muscles. When the muscles relax, your body experiences the relaxation response and gradually calms down. This means your heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, and stress hormone production all decrease to enter a state of tranquility. With better circulation, more blood and oxygen can reach vital organ systems and help them function better while increasing metabolism.

2. Reduce the Effects of Anxiety & Depression

As part of the relaxation response your body experiences during a massage, stress hormone production decreases and serotonin (the “feel good” hormone) levels increase. Therefore, foot and leg massages are known to reduce anxiety and depression as a form of stress and tension relief.

3. Maintain a Healthy Condition for Your Feet

One of the best health benefits of foot massages is healthier feet. If you’ve ever had any of the foot problems listed below, then a nice foot massage is just what you need:

Sores
Calluses
Corns (thick hardened layers of skin)
Ingrown toenails
Swelling
Scarring
Cracked heels/dry skin
In fact, there are several studies that emphasize the benefits of foot reflexology (reduced swelling and scarring) due to increased blood flow and lymphatic drainage.

4. Aid in Recovery of Injuries

Regular leg and foot massages are good for joint pain and injuries. In fact, sore or strained muscles that receive frequent massage treatments heal faster and become stronger and more flexible. It’s also a good idea to pair strengthening exercises and stretches with massages to speed up recovery time and minimize the risk of future injuries.

5. Postural Alignment

One of the best leg massage benefits is postural alignment. When you have bad posture, your leg muscles can become overused and sore. However, massages can relax and loosen these muscles and allow your body to realign itself. This helps to reduce pain and improve your range of motion.

6. Boost Energy Levels

As relaxing as foot reflexology is, it can actually re-energize your mind and body. If you remember from earlier, massages help your muscles and vital organ systems to function properly by increasing blood circulation. Well, another effect from improved blood flow is increased metabolism and energy creation.

7. Encourage Sleep & Relaxation

The benefits of foot reflexology also include better sleep and relaxation. So, how does a massage encourage sleep and relaxation? Well, it’s pretty simple: if massages reduce stress and anxiety, then you’re more likely to relax and fall asleep. And if massages help relieve joint and muscle pain, then you’re also more likely to sleep better. Why not try at 💗BeautyBare lux 💗 for £25 for 1 hour or £15 for half an hour.

AFTER CARE ADVICE

Rest and relax for 12 hours after treatment. Practice deep breathing and relaxation techniques. This will help ensure that the body is able to heal itself sufficiently.
Drink lots of water to help flush out toxins from the body.
Avoid sunbathing or sun-bed treatments unless all of the oil is removed in case the skin burns.
Do not eat a large meal immediately after a treatment because this will cause blood to be diverted to the gut to help with the digestion of food. This will divert energy away from the healing process. After an hour light meals such as fruit and vegetables make ideal snacks.
Avoid coffee, tea and colas for 24 hours as they contain caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant and therefore will not help you to relax.
Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours as the treatment is a detoxifying one and drinking will introduce toxins.
Avoid other holistic treatments for 24 hours to enable your body to rebalance and recover; allowing the healing process to make some headway before your body is exposed to more therapy.
As part of your ongoing aftercare advice you may have been given postural advice, stretching or mobility exercises. Make sure you follow your therapist’s advice carefully.
To receive the maximum benefits from your therapy follow a healthy lifestyle: eat a healthy balanced diet; aim to get 8 hours sleep per night; exercise 3 times a week for 30 minutes each time and take time to enjoy a hobby or interest.
Return for regular treatments to maintain the benefits from your therapy.
