Today is ! 🦷

🦷 It's important for your child to have healthy teeth. They help them eat, speak, and smile confidently. Milk teeth also help to align and space their permanent teeth.

🪥 You can help your little one maintain a lifetime of healthy smiles by teaching them good dental habits, such as regular brushing and not eating or drinking too much sugar.

Fleeing from conflict or crisis often means that sleeping conditions will be unpredictable. It may not always be possible to access a recommended sleeping space for a baby, so this guide from Shared Health Foundation and The Lullaby Trust offers adapted safer sleep advice based on different sleeping situations.

Following this advice can significantly lower the chances of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

As part of The Lullaby Trust's , we want to make sure that all parents know about how to keep their baby safe and that they are also given the resources to do so.

The recommended room temperature for babies is 16 - 20°C. It can be difficult to guess temperature so use a room thermometer in the rooms where your baby sleeps. The risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is higher in babies who get too hot, so it’s important to make sure your baby is at a comfortable temperature.

As part of The Lullaby Trust's , we want to make sure that all parents know about how to keep their baby safe and that they are also given the resources to do so.

Do you know the basics of safer sleep?
💙 always place your baby on their back to sleep, on a firm, flat mattress;
💙 place them in a separate cot or Moses basket;
💙 keep your baby smoke free during pregnancy and after birth;
💙 breastfeed if possible;
💙 never sleep on a sofa or in an armchair with your baby and avoid letting them get too hot.

Following this advice can significantly lower the chances of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

As part of The Lullaby Trust's , we want to make sure that all parents know about how to keep their baby safe and that they are also given the resources to do so.

Did you know that 80% of people will have HPV at some point in their lives?

Most of the time HPV doesn't cause any problems but some types of HPV - the ones that are spread by sexual contact - can increase the risk of cancer in the mouth and throat and ge***al areas.

We can prevent HPV and reduce the risk of HPV-related cancer through increased awareness, vaccination and cervical screening. 💙
