Ovarian cancer mostly affects women over the age of 50 and can affect anyone who has ovaries. The symptoms of ovarian cancer, such as bloating, are not always obvious.

It is often diagnosed late, but early diagnosis can mean it is more treatable. Consult with your GP if you have any symptoms.💙

This week is 🦻

In the UK, half of deaf children are born deaf and the other half develop deafness during childhood.

🧏🏼‍♀️ It is important to remember that:
• Deaf children can do anything other children can do, given the right support from the start.
• Effective language and communication skills lie at the heart of deaf children and young people’s social, emotional and intellectual development.
• Families are the most important influence on deaf children and young people, and need clear, balanced information to make informed choices.
• Deaf children should be involved in decisions which affect them as early as possible.
• Deaf children should be valued by society and have the same opportunities as any other child.

Can twins sleep in the same cot?

✅ Yes: research suggests that putting twins in the same cot (co-bedding) can help them regulate their body temperatures and sleep cycles, and soothe each other too.

❗It's still important to follow safer sleep advice for each baby for every sleep, day and night, to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)

🍎 It's natural to worry whether your child is getting enough food if they refuse to eat sometimes.

🥦 But it's perfectly normal for toddlers to refuse to eat or even taste new foods.

🥕 Keep offering a variety of foods. If your child is active and gaining weight, and they seem well, then they're getting enough to eat.

You'll usually be contacted by your GP surgery when your child is due for a routine vaccination. Your baby can still have their vaccinations if:
- they have a minor illness without a temperature – such as a cold;
- they have allergies, asthma, eczema or food intolerances;
- they were born prematurely.
