💙 Thank You to Our Practice Nurses 💙
Today, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to our amazing Practice Staff Nurses.
Your dedication, professionalism, and compassion make a difference to patients every single day. From long‑term condition care and health promotion to clinics, vaccinations, and supportive conversations — your work is at the heart of our practice and our community.
We truly appreciate the skill, resilience, and kindness you show, often behind the scenes, always putting patients first.
💐 We would also like to say thank you to nurses everywhere — for your commitment, care, and the vital role you play across the NHS and beyond. Your work truly changes lives.

💚 Mental Health Awareness Week | 11–17 May 💚
This week, we join the NHS in recognising that mental health is just as important as physical health.
Mental Health Awareness Week is a chance to:
✅ Talk openly about mental wellbeing
✅ Check in with friends, family, and colleagues
✅ Reduce stigma
✅ Remind ourselves that support is always available
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is there — you don’t have to face things alone.
📞 Support is available:

Urgent mental health support: Call NHS 111 (24/7) to be directed to your local NHS mental health crisis line
Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24/7) – for anyone feeling overwhelmed or in distress
Emergency support: Call 999 or go to A&E if you or someone else is in immediate danger

Reaching out is a sign of strength. Let’s continue to look after each other and be kind to our minds. 💚

MMR Vaccine 💉 Measles is spreading again in some parts of the UK. It can make people seriously unwell.

The MMR vaccine protects against Measles, Mumps and Rubella. It is safe and free on the NHS.

👶 Children usually get 2 doses - one at age 1 and another at age 3 years and 4 months.
👩‍🦱 Adults who missed their vaccines can still get them now.

📞 Call your practice today to check if you or your child need the MMR vaccine.

Stay Safe in the Hot Weather! ☀️

Hot weather can make you feel unwell, especially if you’re older, have a health condition, or are very young.

Here’s how to stay safe:
✅ Drink plenty of water
✅ Stay in the shade or indoors during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm)
✅ Wear loose, light clothes
✅ Use sunscreen and wear a hat
✅ Keep your home cool – close curtains in the day

Look out for signs of heat exhaustion:
😓 Headache, dizziness, feeling sick or tired.

If you feel unwell, rest, drink water, and cool down. Call 111 if you're worried.
