There’s nothing quite like our Wednesdays at The Beehive 🐝💛

Today’s messy play session was full of giggles, curiosity, and little hands exploring everything they could get into! From splashing and squishing to mixing and creating, the kids absolutely LOVED every second of it.

Messy play isn’t just fun (although there’s plenty of that!) — it’s such an important way for children to learn. It helps build creativity, confidence, sensory awareness, and even early problem-solving skills, all while letting them express themselves freely.

Yes, it gets messy… but that’s where the magic happens ✨

Today I headed to Little Oaks Playgroup - Edwinstowe for some messy fun 😊

Thank you for booking a pop up session 🫟

What a lovely group of children and parents! The playgroup leaders were amazing too.

All the children were fully engaged and loved exploring the different animals, textures, tastes, and more.

Messy play is so important for children’s development. It supports sensory exploration, helping little ones understand the world through touch, sight, and even smell. It also builds fine motor skills, encourages creativity, and boosts confidence as children experiment freely without worrying about getting things “right.”

Regular messy play gives children the chance to learn through hands-on experiences, develop problem-solving skills, and express themselves in a natural, joyful way.

Definitely something every child should have the opportunity to enjoy regularly! 🌈
