Having worked as a vocalist, composer, recording artist and performer of my own compositions for over 20 years, I have always been drawn to the healing and sacred properties of sound. in music and an Honors year, Reiki 1 and 2, and am a fully qualified sound therapist with the Sound Healing Academy, in both 1:1 work and also group work. My interests lie in the transformative effect of sound and voice on the body, and the exciting way in which this ancient healing modality is being recognised now in Science and medicine. Sound Baths and one to one (individual) sessions are likened to a sonic massage. You will be bathed in the sounds of instruments known for their healing frequencies such as tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums, & voice. The frequencies of the instruments induce the alpha and theta brainwave states associated with deep meditation, and in this state deep healing and relaxation can take place. Using sacred instruments and a positive intention to heal brings on profound results, including eradicating stress which is responsible for 80% of disease. The Benefits of sound healing -

I'm holding a drum immersion evening on the 14th February for Valentines Day from 7:30pm - 9pm in Upwey. The night will include a drum journey / immersion where I play the drum, sing and use koshis - so bring your yoga mats, pillows, eye pillows, water etc. We will also play as a group- in a drum circle, playing beats to help regulate our nervous system. Lastly, we will create a healing setting where each person will get to lie down and receive a drum healing from the group (sensitively and beautifully held).
