I have done my fair share of yo-yo dieting and after having my two boys it became harder than ever to maintain a healthy weight. My usual reaction was to eat my way through lifes dramas, rather than learn how to deal with my emotions. I had one of those bombs hit me whilst my boys were only 1 & 5 years old when I found out that my husband was having an affair with a work colleague. I was left heartbroken and raising my two little babies almost totally alone, my husband was off playing happy families with someone else and her children. (Btw they are no longer together so there is such a thing as karma guys) So I ate my way back to happiness, or rather dragged my self esteem around under my heavy heart and flabby bottom. Finding Cambridge WeightPlan (The 1:1 Diet) saved me!! Taking a break from thinking about calories and weighing my food was a godsend, my head wasn’t clear enough to deal with all that. Most of us know what we should be doing, we just need the extra support and tools to get there. I lost 52 lbs in 13 weeks, whilst doing The 1:1 Diet and found a new passion….a way to help others do the same. I became a consultant and never looked back!! I think the key to the success of this plan is almost certainly the friendly support from a good consultant and staying accountable each week. I offer friendly and supportive weekly appointments to keep you on track, accountable and most importantly supported. My time is FREE and personal to your needs. I have on and off street parking at either my home office or I can come to you at no extra cost. Due to my many years within this industry I have developed additional specialist training and resources designed to keep you on track throughout your weight loss journey. 8 weeks and 25lbs down! 🎉

It’s no secret that I’ve been struggling to lose some weight I gained during perimenopause. That and some health related issues have meant the last few years have been a bit of a nightmare. However I never gave up and I’m still going.

My message to any ladies over 40’s and 50’s who are struggling going through the menopause and perimenopause is this 👇🏻

It’s ok to mess up…you are only human!

You are still here showing up and giving it your best for that day. Just promise yourself that you can do better tomorrow and then show up for yourself again.

Be kind to yourself and know that today you tried your best and tomorrow you will do better. Keep going and believe that you WILL get there.

So keep going ladies and watch this space for updates and more terrible photos of my fat loss 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

What a transformation!

Alan has lost an incredible 12 stone with The 1:1 Diet and is now much healthier, fitter and no more health concerns! From huffing and puffing on short walks to climbing Ben Nevis with his son.

"When I reached 70 I realised how heavy I had become and didn’t feel great. I had not been sleeping well as I never felt comfortable in bed. My knees were really sore due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and on occasions I could hardly put one foot by another.

My energy levels dropped quite low and I felt like I was just getting through each day. Back in 2002 I had a heart attack but even that wasn’t enough for me to change my bad habits permanently. There must be something more to life than merely existing and I was determined to find it.

I heard about The 1:1 Diet from a friend, and then I found my amazing Consultant Lynn who was so supportive. There and then I decided I wanted my life back.

Fast forward and I had lost 11 stone in the space of a year! BUT I wasn’t done yet, I moved up the Steps gradually increasing my fitness and now weigh in at 11st 6lbs, with a BMI of 21.1. I have been maintaining my weight loss every since.

I now walk up to 12k in the morning before breakfast. I’ve joined a local gym to tone and build muscle strength. I’m now living life to the full doing things I’ve always wanted to do such as a bi-plane flight (a Father’s Day gift from my proud daughter!) with no worry about the weight restrictions. Having exhausted climbing all the hills locally I completed my biggest challenge yet... BEN NEVIS!

Goodbye to the Blue Badge as I have given it back to the Council and I’m not needing it again. I am a much happier person having been on The 1:1 Diet."

Good morning on this lovely Thursday!! ☀️

Take the time whilst on plan to get other little habits into check.

Are you moving enough??
Maybe it’s time to see how many steps you are actually achieving??

Let’s get our steps up to at least 7,000 a day!

Let’s make sure we are drinking enough water. We recommend 2.3ltrs whilst on plan, I go for about 3!! 👍🏻

Let’s get a good nights sleep 7/8 hrs sleep a night is recommended. I’m taking magnesium and hot baths with Epsom salts to help my terrible sleep patterns. Always working on improvement!

Let’s keep our exposure to technology down. It’s not only good to take a break from it all but the adverts bombarding us with fast food are ridiculous. Give yourself a break!

Let’s figure out other ways to deal with our stress. Meditation, yoga, take up boxing. I used to do a boxercise video when I was super fit and punching the air whilst visualising the ex cheating husband’s face really helped (must try that again) 🤔😆

Let’s focus on the quality of our foods as we go up the steps. Portion control and healthy go to choices can make all the difference.

The photo is of me 6 years ago, maintaining my weight loss for about 5 years. Working hard at staying active and basically doing all the things I’ve mentioned above.
