A great 15 minute full body blast 💥

2x sets of four exercises.

3 rounds per set.

20 seconds on, 10 seconds off

45 seconds rest between rounds.

60s rest between sets.

Take the first four exercises as the first set and second four exercises as the second set.

The idea is to give it everything for the 20 seconds intervals. The benefits of a HIIT workout are numerous and for only 15 minutes, it's a bargain!

We all suffer setbacks at some point in our life and its far to easy to become unmotivated and spiral down into negative emotions and simply give up.

There is always another way to your goals. In order to find these other ways we have to reframe the situation as an opportunity to discover new experiences, learn new knowledge and focus on the process.

We may have to think outside the box and get out of our comfort zone, but that is where the magic happens.

We may have to go back to basics, we may have to learn new things but you don't have to compromise on your goal.

An amazing long run today. Steep climbs and some technical sections. Steadily progressing the length of my long run and time on feet in the build up to my 120km double Kepler Challenge in December. 6, 7, and.8 hour runs to come before taper.

A bit more mobility in phase two. The aim is to build all round strength and hip stability.

Starting at 3 sets, 30s each exercise (each side where applicable), 60s rest between sets. Building to 4 sets, 35s each with weights/bands where applicable. No excuses!

Recovery is just as important if not the most important part of training. Correct recovery includes; nutrition, sleep, stretching and rolling, and more recent tools for recovery include Ice Baths and Infrared Sauna's Done correctly you will be able to train consistently and progress without interruptions from injury or fatigue

I have started using Ice Baths and Infrared Sauna's as an aid to recovery as well as doing my Strength and Conditioning in their gym. The facilities are first class with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

🏃Body - in order to perform you need to fit. Fitness consists of four components;
1️⃣Speed
2️⃣ Stamina
3️⃣ Strength
4️⃣ Suppleness
The mixture of each depends on your sport, but for overall fitness and longevity, you need a bit of each.

Mind - a strong mindset can;
1️⃣Help overcome any mental barriers to success
2️⃣Put you in the flow state or 'the zone'
3️⃣Stop you being nervous or distracted
4️⃣Help you learn quicker and reframe training sessions and low moments in your sport.

Emotion - this is your spirit, determination, heart, your will. How well can you balance your emotional energy.
1️⃣Too much emotion (anxiety , anger, fear) wastes energy and results in rash decisions
2️⃣Too little (too relaxed, arrogance, carefree) and you lose power and focus
3️⃣ Balance your emotional state and find that laser pinpoint focus, find your strength of purpose.
