It’s not all deep rub outs and pain management here at T40.
Today I had a Baby Kneads client in for a Kinder Calm treatment in preparation for her big first day in P1. It went a little like this…

“Where shall we start today Hollie?”
“At my toes, and go all the way to my nose!”

This little lady even had a little snooze while she was in for her treatment, the calmness, awareness of breath & balance that massage therapy brings to Hollie leaves this sweetheart bouncing into clinic and floating from it.
If you have a little one that runs a little high, seeks out deep pressure, or simply just needs a little something to help them balance before the return to school drop me a little message.

Kinder Sensory aims to help the child or young person who struggles to regulate and cope with the stimulus around them to have a little time out from that struggle. This treatment can be beneficial to the child who has sensory processing difficulties or who find it difficult to remain calm. The treatment is massage based, however temperature, visual, tactile, auditory & olfactory stimulus are all considered and where possible child led.

Kinder Squeeze aims to bring a child friendly version of remedial massage to the paediatric population. As adults we are ever learning of the importance of work-life balance, self-care & time out. Children will benefit much the same from some prescribed down time. This treatment is for the child who simply needs a little TLC or time to ‘shift lanes’. It is for the child who simply enjoys the medium of massage & variable pressure. This treatment is child led, from the colour of their towel to the flavour of their sorbet.

The aim of Kinder Ease is to minimise physical discomfort for our little people and also to instil a culture of self-care as they grow up. KinderEase is designed for two categories, firstly the child who suffers with growing pains or secondly the child who is sport orientated e.g. football, gymnastics, equestrian sport, irish & contemporary dance, amateur boxing etc. Gentle massage will bring warmth to the soft tissues and promote recovery & enriched blood flow leaving the child feeling soothed.

The aim of Kinder Calm is to aid the child or young person to relax and ground. Often our little people for a variety of reasons struggle to regulate their emotions and may suffer the effects of worry and anxiety. Massage will help to decrease stress hormones in the body & promote relaxation of the body & mind.

I am beyond excited to share with you all my
new venture ‘Baby Kneads & Beyond’.

Bringing it to life over the last few weeks has been stressful at times but I believe I have something very unique & positive to offer our little people & new momma’s particularly in light of the difficult year 2020 has been to-date.

Baby Kneads & Beyond offers a comprehensive & developing range of treatments for mother, baby, child & adolecent.
For the mama, we have pre/post natal massage, as well as our baby massage sessions either on a group or one-to-one basis. Baby massage is a magical opportunity to bond with your baby in those first few months & it brings with it an abundance of benefits to both mother & baby alike.

Baby Kneads & Beyond also recognises the benefits of massage therapy to the child from toddler to teen, catering for all. For the child who enjoys a little TLC, the child with sensory seeking or learning needs, the active or sport orientated child, the child with pain & discomfort, & perhaps the child who will benefit most; the child presenting with negative emotions or anxiety. Baby Kneads & Beyond will tailor treatments to each individual and their needs to help keep our precious little people and their mammas, happy & healthy.

Over the coming days & weeks I will be sharing with you a little more information about myself, the dates & venues of group sessions, more details on each of the services offered & some evidence based research in relation to the benefits of baby massage, paediatric massage & pregnancy massage. My book does not open until the 1st of September for appointments, but please, if you think you or your little one would like to avail of an appointment drop me a little DM for further information.
