A massive shoutout to the wonderful P7 students at St. Caireall’s Primary School, Aghyaran! 🌟

I’m blown away by their creative “Feelings Clotheslines” based on my Nana Jean book. From being “scared of heights”, or feeling nervous about the “transfer test” or “a penalty kick”, these kids are proving that no feeling is too big to handle when you have the right tools.

Thank you for sharing your worries with me (and Nana Jean!). You’ve made my day. 🌈

A huge thank you to Eileen from Waymaker for these beautiful Little Bear affirmation cards. 🧸✨

In Play Therapy, we know that the language a child uses to describe themselves becomes their inner compass. I am so excited to integrate these into my clinical practice to help my young clients build resilience, self-belief, and emotional regulation. Sometimes a ‘bear-sized’ reminder is all it takes to help a child see their own incredible potential. 💛

Happy World Book Day! 📚✨

To celebrate, I’m thrilled to introduce my second book: Spinny and Buzz! 🕷️🐝

Spinny has a sparkling ‘weboline’ but no one to bounce with. Buzz has a stinger that scares everyone away. Can a clumsy accident and a bit of forest magic turn these two into the perfect team? 🕸️🍯

Discover a story where kindness is the key to a friendship as sweet as can be 💫

Coming the end of March!

Spread the word! Tag a teacher or a fellow book-lover in the comments who needs to meet this duo! 👇

✨There’s so much learning in the simple act of feeling air move, laughing together, and exploring sensations — just like feeling the air from Nana Jean’s dryer under the parachute.

✨Sensory play helps children build emotional awareness, confidence, and a sense of safety in learning.

✨I honestly don’t know who enjoys these workshops more… me or the kids 💖

Yesterday I had the pleasure of delivering a special Nana Jean workshop at Omagh Library as part of Children’s Mental Health Week 💛

Through story, movement and creative expression, we explored practical, child-friendly ways to help children understand and manage their worries.

Thank you to for hosting and to the wonderful children who took part.

A special thank you to for capturing the afternoon so beautifully through photos and video ✨

✨ Children’s Mental Health Week ✨

This Children’s Mental Health Week, let’s pause to reflect on the importance of play.

Play isn’t a break from learning — it is the most powerful form of learning there is 🌱

As a Play Therapist, I see every day how play acts as a bridge into a child’s inner world 🌈

When play is combined with therapeutic storytelling, children are supported to recognise, explore, and gently process feelings they may not yet have words for — or even realise they are carrying 📚

Tomorrow, I’ll be at Omagh Library reading from my own therapeutic story, Let Us In, Nana Jean 👵🏻

Come along for an hour of fun and imagination as Nana Jean’s laundry explore worried feelings and discover gentle ways to manage them 🧺

Only a few spaces remain, so be sure to book your place 💫

Home-Start Omagh District is hosting a free evening event focused on parenting young children (0–5) in today’s digital world, and how we can protect a play-based, real-life childhood along the way.

📱🌱 The digital landscape has changed fast. As parents, carers, and those who work with young children, many of us are figuring this out in real time. This event is about coming together in a safe, non-judgemental space to learn, talk, and take away practical tools that actually help.

💜🧡 What’s happening:
✨ Talks from a Paediatric OT, Speech Therapist, Forest School Leader & Play Consultant
✨ Input from Smart Phone Free Childhood Northern Ireland
✨ Current research, practical strategies, and realistic advice
✨ A supportive conversation around prioritising play, connection, and real-world experiences

📅 Tuesday 3 March 2026
⏰ 8:00–9:00pm (refreshments from 7:45pm)
📍 Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh – Courtyard Room

This fully funded event (via Seed Funding from WHSCT) is open to all parents, carers, professionals, and volunteers supporting children aged 0–5 in the Omagh District.

💜🧡 We hope you’ll join us, be part of the conversation, and leave feeling informed, empowered, and inspired.
