🚧 Road works commence this week in Omagh that may effect your journey to the Clinic. 🚧

Please keep this in mind when travelling to your appointments and allow some extra time! 🕰️

Please share or tag anyone you know who lives or works in this part of Omagh.

The road improvement scheme on Mountjoy Road/ Gortin Road, Omagh, close to Strule Shared Education Campus is due to start tomorrow.

The scheme includes road widening, to allow for two lanes of traffic in each direction along the Mountjoy Road/ Gortin Road and provision of shared use footway and cycleway.

The existing Old Mountfield Road/Mountjoy Road Junction will be upgraded and a new signalised crossing will be provided at the Strathroy Road/ Gortin Road Junction along with a second lane along Strathroy Road.

Of course, this will impact on traffic in and around that part of the town, and I'd ask people to take that into account when planning journeys.

The DFI have confirmed that lane closures and road closures will be necessary on the Old Mountfield Road, Mountjoy Road, Lisnelly Avenue, Strathroy Road and Gortin Road for the duration of the scheme.
