Last week Paul (along with Méabh) ventured to Lagos, Nigeria.
35 years ago he had spent 6 weeks studying there and had kept in contact with the development of the local students over the intervening years. The opportunity came to travel to their 35th reunion. We raised funds for refurbishment of the dental waiting room and setting up a computer suite for E-learning. We also visited an out reach centre where we had been sponsoring some of the clinics. We also took time to visit the sights of Lagos and enjoy the culture and food of an amazing country. Hi-light of the visit was the invite to a traditional 80th birthday party about 100 miles out side Lagos, where there were up to 700 guests.
