I had an amazing week last week… but one thing that really stood out was getting my diploma 🎓

I am now a qualified Menopause Coach!

And if I’m honest, this one feels a bit emotional.

Because this isn’t just something I’ve learned it’s something I see every single week in the women I work with.

Women who feel:
🦆lost
🦆overwhelmed
🦆not quite themselves anymore

And quietly asking…

“Who even am I now?”

This course has given me a deeper understanding of what’s actually going on behind the scenes perimenopause, menopause, hormones and how much they can affect confidence, mood and identity.

But more than anything, it’s strengthened the way I already work.

🦆Real conversations.
🦆No pressure.
🦆Helping women feel like themselves again.

I also had the privilege of being part of a group of 44 amazing women from all over the world.

Different backgrounds but the exact same heart.

Because we all understand that feeling when something shifts and you don’t quite recognise yourself anymore.

And that shared understanding is powerful.

Thank you to Lauren at Women of a Certain Stage for creating a space that brings these conversations together.

Here’s to continuing the conversations 💛

A wee one I’m a bit late sharing… 🦆
Over the past few weeks I’ve been in local schools delivering sessions as part of the LEAD programme with Relate NI.

Honestly they were such a great bunch of kids.
Lots of laughs, lots of honesty, and those wee moments where you can see it land.
Because at the end of the day, the most important relationship they’ll ever have is with themselves.

And if they can start to understand that now… that’s powerful

I’m really looking forward to being part of this beautiful evening in Drumquin

A space for women to come together, have a chat, try something new and just take a little time for themselves.

I’ll be there with It’s A Duck! sharing a bit of support around menopause and wellbeing.

If you’ve been needing a wee night out that actually feels good… this is it 🦆

Looking forward to see you there

🦆🦆🦆You don’t need to understand all the science but you do deserve to understand your options

I’ve had so many conversations lately with women saying

🦆“I don’t know what I’m on… I just know I was given something”

And then the fear kicks in…

🦆“What if it’s not safe?”

🦆“Am I doing the right thing?”

There is so much noise out there around menopause and HRT
and if I’m honest it can feel overwhelming even trying to keep up with it all.🥴

So I wanted to gently break this one down.
Not all HRT is the same.

And a lot of the fear we hear today comes from older types of HRT that were used years ago.

What many women are offered now is different
and for lots of women, it can be a really helpful support through this stage of life.

This isn’t about telling you what you should or shouldn’t do
It’s about helping you understand what’s what
so you can have better conversations
and make the choices that feel right for you
And if you’ve ever felt confused by it all…
you are definitely not alone in that.❤️

A wee one to share for any ladies in and around Drumquin and Surrounding Omagh Rural Communities.

This Rural Women’s Health Questionnaire is looking at everything from wellbeing, physical health, social connection and support in our rural communities.

It’s completely anonymous and only takes a few minutes.

Sometimes we can think “ah sure what difference would my answer make”…
but this is exactly how change starts.

Real voices. Real experiences. Real needs.
So if you’ve a spare few minutes and a cuppa in hand ☕
it’s worth a wee fill in 👇

This questionnaire is targeted at 16+

A few of the lovely ladies who attended last week not everyone wanted to be on camera… and honestly, I don’t blame them 😄

I had the absolute privilege of delivering a Menopause & Wellbeing session at St. Mark's High School Warrenpoint

What stayed with me most wasn’t just the conversation… it was the feeling in the room.

The nods.
The relief.
The quiet “that’s me” moments.

So many women are going through this while still showing up every day at work, at home, for everyone else.

We kept it real, relatable and honest… with a bit of humour and plenty of those “aha” moments along the way.

Because when we start to understand what’s actually going on in our bodies, everything begins to make a bit more sense.

I’m really looking forward to going back for the second session and continuing the conversation

What a week its been, this felt like a bit of a full-circle moment…🦆

On Monday I got to sit down with the amazing Lauren from Women of a Certain Stage (Menopause Training & Coaching)to record a podcast 🎙️

We talked through my journey and how It's A Duck came to life, the twists along the way, and what led me to train as a Menopause Coach through Lauren’s programme.

A lovely moment to pause and reflect on it all… and a reminder of why this work matters so much.
Grateful to be part of conversations like this

Last Sunday at Orba for our Self Love Sunday retreat, I was surrounded by a room full of incredible women. Women who have carried families, careers, grief, laughter, and more life experience than the world often gives them credit for.

Days like Mother’s Day can bring up many different feelings.
For some it’s a day filled with hugs, cards and noisy kitchens.
For others it can be a little more tender.

In my work with women navigating peri-menopause and menopause, I know that sometimes this season of life can stir up emotions around motherhood too. For some it’s the realisation that the door to having children has quietly closed. For others it’s the reflection on children now grown, mothers no longer here, or paths life took that we never quite expected.
And all of those feelings are valid.

What I see every single day in the women I work with is something powerful women who nurture friendships, families, communities, businesses, ideas and dreams.

Mothering takes many forms.

🦆Sometimes it’s raising children.
🦆Sometimes it’s holding space for others.
🦆Sometimes it’s learning how to show ourselves the kindness we so easily give everyone else.

To every woman who joined us at Orba Yoga Retreat & Health Spa last Sunday thank you for showing up, for being open, and for reminding each other that we are never as alone as we sometimes feel.

And to every woman navigating life’s twists and turns be gentle with yourself today.
Love

Last week I had the privilege of speaking with students across the South West College campuses in Omagh, Enniskillen and Dungannon during No More Week.

We talked about something incredibly important what healthy, respectful relationships actually look like in everyday life.

The honesty, curiosity and thoughtful questions from the students were powerful. It reminded me that when young people are given the space to talk openly about respect, communication and boundaries, they really do want to understand and do better.

So much of the work I do whether with young people, women navigating menopause, or adults reflecting on life’s experiences always comes back to the same foundation.

Understanding our worth.
Understanding our boundaries.
And learning how we deserve to be treated.

These conversations matter, because they help build safer, kinder communities for everyone.

Encouraging to see continued progress in menopause care.

Hot flushes and night sweats are often dismissed as “just part of menopause”, but for many women they can significantly affect sleep, concentration, confidence and day-to-day life.

While HRT remains the first line treatment for many, it’s positive to see additional non hormonal options being developed for women who cannot or choose not to take HRT.

It also highlights the importance of continued research. Many women experience early or treatment-induced menopause, particularly following cancer treatment, and often have fewer treatment options available to them.

The more awareness and open conversations we create around menopause, the better support women can receive.

🦆🦆🦆 International Women’s Day — Sunday 8th March 🦆🦆🦆

2 DAYS TO GO - SELF LOVE SUNDAY

We rise with the sun. 🌅

The gorgeous Brídín will do what she does best, guiding us through gentle sunrise yoga.

Grounding. Breathing. Reconnecting.

And then… we come in.
We clear the mental clutter.
We drop the “I’m not enough.”
We let go of what’s been quietly weighing us down.

Not in a fluffy way.
In a powerful way. 💪

Because this is what I do best.

I help women SEE themselves again.
Not the tired version.
Not the overwhelmed version.
The strong, capable, powerful woman underneath it all.

🦆A reset.
🦆A release.
🦆A reminder of who you really are.

We’re not just stretching on International Women’s Day.

We’re shedding what no longer fits.
And walking back out lighter. Clearer. Stronger.
