Gentle Release Therapy (GRT) is a deeply relaxing therapy that combines the beliefs of Traditional Chinese Medicine, theory of acupuncture and energy work to support the body in restoring balance and Qi flow in the body.

TCM believes maintaining health and wellbeing is based on the balance and harmony within the body to enable the free flow of Qi. Qi flows through the body via channels known as meridians. When the flow is disrupted it can create imbalances that lead to physical, mental and emotional health issues.

GRT releases the ‘blocks’ causing the restrictions creating restrictions and health symptoms. Reinvigorating the flow of Qi can soothe the nervous system, ease physical discomfort and irritation, rebalance emotions and restore purpose and energy.

The experience of receiving GRT is often described as deeply relaxing, often offering a sense of clarity, lightness in the body and a renewed sense of wellbeing.

At the centre of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the belief that our life force known as Qi (pronounced ‘chee’) flows throughout our bodies and sustains life.

TCM believes that health and wellbeing is the result of a continuous harmonious flow of Qi around the body.

When Qi flows freely around the body our vitality is promoted through all aspects i.e. physical health, mental clarity and emotional balance. The body’s own innate healing capacity is enhanced and we are better able to adapt to life challenges and daily stressors.

TCM considers Illness and discomfort (physical or emotional) to be the result of blockages or restriction in the flow of Qi. The aim of TCM is to restore the flow of Qi around the body to support health and wellbeing.

Gentle Release Therapy (GRT) applies these beliefs to support the body by releasing, restoring, strengthening and promoting the flow of Qi. Using gentle touch, intention and intuition GRT offers a relaxing experience whilst restoring balance to the body and mind.
