Meet our consultant 👋 – Dr Maxwell Asante, Consultant Gastroenterologist & General Physician.

Dr Asante has built up over 20 years’ experience in the management of simple and complex diseases in all aspects of gastroenterology. He is a Panel Member for international organisations providing second opinions in Gastroenterology. Dr Asante’s endoscopy expertise include diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy, balloon enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, wireless pH monitoring and ERCP. He has a special interest in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of acid related disorders; alteration in bowel function eg irritable bowel syndrome and colitis; food related disorders and cancer diagnosis.

🔵 Meet our consultant 👋 – Dr Cherng Jong, Consultant Dermatologist.

Dr Jong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1997. He undertook postgraduate training in the UK and completed specialist dermatology training in 2008. Dr Jong has been a Consultant Dermatologist for 15 years, including just under two years in Newcastle, Australia. He was the Clinical and Skin Cancer Lead for West Kent Dermatology Service from 2016 to 2023. Apart from clinical duties, Dr Jong is also a clinical supervisor for medical students, specialist nurses, nurse prescribers and GPs with special interest in dermatology. Dr Jong has published papers on the impact of photosensitive skin conditions on quality of life and on contact allergies
Dr Jong is an experienced dermatologist who has a special interest in treating skin cancers but in addition to this he also treats all types of rashes and dermatology conditions including psoriasis, eczema, acne, etc. Dr Jong is a good listener and he recognises the importance of skin health and the impact of skin diseases on quality of life.
