Meet our consultant 👋 – Mr Sasindran Ramar
Consultant General, Upper GI, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeon.

Mr Sasindran Ramar is a highly respected consultant general surgeon with over 24 years experience of laparoscopic surgery. He is based at King’s college hospital, London, and specialises in upper gastrointestinal, metabolic and bariatric surgery. Mr Ramar performed the first ever keyhole gallbladder and hernia surgery in 1999

He is renowned for his expertise in bariatric and metabolic (anti-diabetic) surgery and performs laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic gastric band procedures. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Mr Ramar maintains an active role in research and has contributed extensively to the field throughout his esteemed career.
Additionally, Mr Ramar is a leading name in medical education, holding the position of honorary senior lecturer at King’s College London.
