New Mats, Same Heart 💚

We’re proud to support the bowls club at Purley Sports Club by donating new bowling mats to replace the ones that had seen their fair share of ends.

This isn’t just about sport. It’s about people. About friendships formed over tea and roll-ups. About showing up, week after week, rain or shine. That’s what clubs like this are built on and that’s exactly why we wanted to help.

What an incredible day at Woodcote Park Golf Club! We're thrilled to share that our sister company Rowland Brothers Charity Golf Day raised an amazing £22,500 for the Rowland Brothers Foundation! 🙌💚

A huge thank you to the 138 golfers who joined us — your energy, generosity, and good humour made it a day to remember. From the raffle and auction to the mini competitions out on the course, every moment helped contribute to this fantastic total.

Honouring a Legacy: Memorial Renovation for Lord Baden-Powell
We were truly honoured to recently carry out the renovation of the memorial for Lord Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scouts movement in England - a man whose legacy has inspired generations of young people around the world.

Our specialist memorial team took great care to restore this important tribute through a multi-stage process:
🔹 The memorial was carefully raised and levelled to ensure stability and prominence.
🔹 It was then professionally cleaned to restore its original dignity and clarity.
🔹 The existing inscription was reinscribed to bring it back to life with renewed sharpness and legibility.
🔹 Finally, we added a new inscription, thoughtfully crafted to reflect his enduring legacy.

Preserving this piece of history was a true privilege. At Colin Fisher, we believe in honouring those who have shaped the world, and Lord Baden-Powell’s contribution is one that continues to guide and inspire.

Every life leaves a mark. Some leave entire trails of it.

We had the rare chance to help celebrate one of those lives — a firefighter who spent years running toward the danger everyone else runs from.

The send-off was unforgettable. A gleaming vintage fire truck carried him through the streets he once protected. Fire crews stood shoulder to shoulder, helmets tucked under arms, heads bowed. His family walked right alongside them — proud, grieving, unbreakable.

This wasn’t just a funeral. It was a salute. A story told without a single word.

When someone spends their life answering calls for help, it’s only right the final call echoes that same spirit of bravery.

Every life deserves a send-off that feels right. That feels theirs.

This one absolutely did. What an honour it was.

Flowers have a way of saying what words can't.

Sometimes it’s a rose for love. Sometimes it’s lilies for peace.

And sometimes, it’s a Pl***oy Bunny.

One of the most unforgettable tributes we’ve ever helped arrange came from a simple but powerful final wish: to be remembered with spirit, laughter, and a nod to a dream once held close.

We didn’t just order flowers. We created a story in petals.

Bright colours, bold shapes, delicate garlands wrapped around the coffin and hearse — each bloom handpicked to echo a life that refused to fit into neat boxes.

Grief isn’t one-size-fits-all. Goodbye shouldn’t be either.

When final wishes speak, we listen.

Some moments don't need words.

As the bugler lifted his instrument and played The Last Post, the air itself seemed to hold its breath. One note after another - sharp, aching, final - wrapping everyone in the kind of silence you don’t forget.

We helped say goodbye to a man who wore his service like a second skin. Brave. Steady. Fiercely loyal.

There’s something about a military farewell that cuts deeper than most. Maybe it’s the stillness. Maybe it’s the rows of uniforms. Maybe it’s the way one small salute can feel heavier than a thousand speeches.

What we do isn’t just about the ceremony. It's about catching every ounce of love and pride that a life like his leaves behind - and making sure none of it goes unnoticed.

Lest we forget.
