💜 Anti-Bullying Week: 10-14 November 2025 💜

Bullying is something that anyone can face, at any age - whether in school, college, or even in the workplace. The effects can run deep, impacting mental health, confidence, and self-esteem. These impacts may last long beyond the bullying itself, affecting how we feel about ourselves and how we engage with others.

This Anti-Bullying Week, let’s stand together to foster kindness, respect, and understanding. If you or someone you know has been affected by bullying, know that there’s support available, and recovery is possible. Healing from bullying involves rediscovering self-worth and building resilience in a safe, compassionate space.

You don’t have to go through it alone. Taking small steps to address past or present experiences can be empowering and transformative. 💜

💙 November is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month 💙

This month, we take time to reflect on the importance of mental health for men, recognising the unique challenges they may face. In the UK, men under 50 are disproportionately affected by su***de, a reality that underscores how vital it is for everyone to feel comfortable seeking support.

Many men feel societal pressures to "keep strong" or stay silent about their struggles. But mental health is something we all experience, and opening up is a sign of strength, not weakness. During Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s come together to gently encourage open conversations and let the men in our lives know they’re never alone.

If things feel heavy, or you know someone who might be having a hard time, consider speaking to a professional counsellor or a trusted friend who can help lighten the load. Sometimes, sharing can be the first step toward healing. 💙

🛋️ “What actually happens in a therapy session?”

If you’ve never had counselling before, the unknown can feel intimidating. You might wonder:

• “Will I have to share everything straight away?”
• “What if I cry or can’t think of anything to say?”
• “What if I’m judged?”

The truth is, therapy isn’t about being “fixed.” It’s about being seen, heard, and supported without pressure or expectation.

In our sessions together, here’s what you can expect:

✨ A calm, non-judgmental space
✨ The chance to explore what’s going on for you at your pace
✨ Space for silence, emotion, and even uncertainty
✨ Gentle guidance and reflection from me, without advice-giving
✨ A relationship where your story is treated with care

Sometimes we talk about things that feel heavy. Other times we focus on building tools, confidence, and awareness. Every session is shaped around you.

If you’ve been thinking about counselling but feel unsure, that’s totally normal. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. I offer a free 15-minute call so you can ask questions, share what’s on your mind, and decide if therapy feels right for you.

📲 Message me if you have any questions.

🌻How do I offer support as a counsellor?

I have additional specialist training in loss and bereavement, as well as couples and relationship therapy. Loss shows up in many ways and affects us all at times, and relationships are the foundation of our lives, and that's why I was drawn to those areas of training. It enables me to offer all my clients better and deeper understanding.

The space I provide is understanding, warm and caring. Each person has unique needs and my sessions reflect that. Sometimes I introduce creative elements to the sessions to help uncover difficult feelings when words don't seem to be easy. Sometimes I invite clients to bring photos or a special item that helps them tell their story. The counselling room is a safe space, confidential, and without judgement.

On a practical note, my counselling room is on the ground floor. There is easy, free parking outside with no restrictions, and I am on a bus route that serves Orpington railway station and High Street.

I offer a no-obligation phone call to anyone considering counselling. You can book this through my website or leave a message on the number below...

What I love most about my job is seeing how having a space to be completely free to be themselves, to speak without judgment, and be truly heard, can be life-changing. Being trusted with someone's story and feelings is a privilege, and I never lose sight of that.

💛Couples and Relationship Therapy

When a relationship that once brought deep joy, love and togetherness, starts to break down it can leave feelings of deep sadness, loneliness and frustration. Over time, poor communication, everyday stresses, or major life events can begin to erode the closeness that once felt easy. You may feel misunderstood, unheard, or stuck in patterns that keep you from truly connecting with your partner.

In couples therapy, I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where both partners are invited to speak openly and honestly. Together, we focus on understanding what’s really going on beneath the surface, unmet needs, unspoken expectations, and emotional wounds that may be getting in the way of closeness.
There is no blame, only curiosity, care, and the shared intention to rebuild trust, improve communication, and deepen your connection.

Whether you’re looking to repair after conflict, or simply strengthen your bond, couples counselling can help you move forward together.

Ready to take the first step? Contact me to book a session or arrange a no-obligation chat to learn more about how I can help you.

See my website contact page to book yourself a time to chat, or email or leave a WhatsApp or voice message and I’ll get back to you.

There’s no ‘right way’ to feel or progress. We move at your pace.
Healing isn’t a straight line, and there’s no deadline for feeling better. Some days might feel heavier than others but that doesn’t mean you’re going backwards.

In therapy, there's space for all of it: the confusion, the mess, the pauses, the quiet breakthroughs, the 'oh my gosh' moments. We can work through it all, with me supporting you at every step. 🌻💛
