This reminds me of the story of a man visiting his wife in hospital – The nurse asked why he visited his wife every day when she clearly doesn’t remember him. His reply “she may not remember me, but I still remember her”.

Last night we were at the Orpington Business Awards – This is a prestigious event, opened by the Major of Bromley, and attended by over 170 local business people.
Compassion HomeCare was privileged to win the Best Service Business Award.
Amazing to think that over the last 6 years we have helped over 300 elderly people to maintain their independence in their own homes – quite an achievement!
A big thank you to our team of over 40 staff for helping Compassion HomeCare to get this award – they are the real stars!

During this hot weather, our staff have been encouraging all the elderly people they look after to drink as much as possible. I love the reaction we got!!

The Princess Royal University Hospital and Orpington Hospital have ongoing issues with norovirus. However, the good news is that the number of patients affected is reducing and they want to keep this downward trend.
The reason for numbers of cases of norovirus reducing is due to the stringent infection prevention strategies they have put into place e.g. ALL visitors to the hospital must wash their hands on entry to the hospital; whether they come in as a visitor to the ward or to A&E. They should also wash their hands when they leave the ward. No food, fruit, flowers or cards to be brought into hospital. Visitors are usually allowed in at the discretion of the nurse in charge of the ward. This does not apply to maternity and children’s wards.
Compassion HomeCare are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a "Good" rating by the CQC following their recent inspection of us. This is a fantastic reflection on all the hard work the team has done.
