Why do the most experienced workers sometimes take the biggest risks?

It sounds backwards… but it happens on sites everywhere.

Not because they’re careless.
Not because they’re untrained.

Because of something called risk normalisation.
Over time, small shortcuts slowly become normal.

👉 “I’ve done this hundreds of times.”
👉 “It’ll be fine just this once.”
👉 “This will only take a second.”

So the brain quietly decides the risk must be acceptable.

When was the last time your Fire Risk Assessment was reviewed?

Was it a year ago?
Two years?
Five?

But a Fire Risk Assessment isn’t something you do once and forget about.

Buildings change.
Staff numbers change.
Equipment changes.

Which means fire risks can change too.

Your assessment should be reviewed regularly, especially if:
