Flower arranging wasn’t just a lovely activity for our wonderful ladies this Mother’s Day 🌸💐

Their beautiful creations didn’t stop at the craft table—they brightened up our dining spaces and made mealtimes even more special for everyone.

A simple activity bringing full of joy, creativity, and smiles to all our residents, not just those who took part.

We are currently recruiting a Senior Care Assistant (Night Shift) to join our team.

36 hours per week (night shifts)
Support residents with dignity, respect, and kindness
Lead and support the night care shift
Be part of a friendly, supportive environment where residents feel at home

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has experience in senior care
✔ Holds (or is working towards) relevant qualifications
✔ Is confident leading a shift
✔ Has a genuine passion for elderly care

Important Notice to Family and Friends

We are currently managing a respiratory outbreak within the home. To help protect our residents and staff, we have temporarily paused all visits.

At this time, visiting is expected to resume on Saturday 14th February. Please note that this date may change if additional cases arise.

We will continue to keep all families and loved ones updated with any changes.

If you have any questions or would like further information, please contact the home directly.

Christmas cheer was well and truly on the menu at Braeside this year!

Our residents enjoyed a truly festive Christmas Day feast, starting with refreshing melon and raspberry coulis, followed by turkey with all the trimmings and finished with a classic Christmas pud!

The day was filled with laughter, joyful chatter, and the wonderful sight of friends and family coming together to share special moments. It was a truly magical celebration and a day full of memories to treasure.

A big thank you to all our fantastic staff who helped make the day so special!

What a truly magical festive period we’ve enjoyed here at Braeside! Our Christmas party was fantastic and gave us a wonderful taste of the celebrations to come — the photos truly paint a picture of joy and happiness.

This evening, our residents are enjoying a well-deserved rest, getting cosy and comfortable as they look forward to a delicious festive feast and precious time spent with family and friends.

The elves have been very busy this week at Braeside, spreading lots of Christmas cheer!

Eileen enjoyed a magical trip to the North Pole of Oswaldtwistle, Oswaldtwistle Mills Shopping Village & Garden Centre, browsing beautifully made gifts and warming up with a lovely hot cuppa.

Many of our residents enjoyed a Christmas outing to the The Acorn for a delicious turkey dinner and cabaret – great food, dancing, and plenty of laughter was definitely on our Christmas list!

Our fabulous Lois was delighted to be welcomed to Rhyddings for their annual community Christmas lunch. Lois loved meeting the students and sharing wonderful stories together.

Now we’re all looking forward to what the big man might bring this week… 🎅✨

Last week we kicked off the celebrations in the cosiest way — Christmas PJ Day paired with a little festive baking!

Residents loved staying snug, sipping something warm, and getting right into the Christmas spirit!

On Friday our residents enjoyed a wonderful session with EverActive!

Filled with gentle, feel-good exercises designed to boost mobility, strength, mood, and overall well-being, their sessions support positive outcomes like falls prevention and meaningful social connection.

Staying active is truly the key to confidence, joy, and a vibrant life in care — and EverActive are a fantastic reminder of that.

What an amazing effort from everyone for our Halloween party! 👻 From spooky monsters and cauldron cakes to apple bobbing and toilet roll mummification — the spook fest was giving 'hallo-queen' and our residents loved it 🕸️🕷️ Thanks to everyone who joined in on the frightful fun! 💀🧁🎉
