✨🥧 A Little Treat Too Good to Wait For!

We’ve just spotted this delicious recipe from Scrummy for Viennese Mince Pies, and we can’t resist sharing it with you!

They’re not just for Christmas either, you can fill them with stewed apple, jam, lemon curd… whatever you fancy. 🍎🍓🍋

The Viennese topping is beautifully crumbly, like shortbread, and here’s a great tip from Scrummy: chill your filled tins in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking so they keep their shape.

We think these would be perfect for a cosy weekend bake. Who’s going to give them a try? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

Upskilling in Action!

Our Willowbrook Homecare (Hyndburn) team recently joined a Medication Refresher Workshop with trainer Anne.

Through hands-on activities, real-life scenarios and learning from each other, our employees are keeping their skills fresh, up-to-date, and focused on best practice, all to support the people we care for to live safely and well at home.

The UK government is testing the Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7 September 2025 at 3pm. Compatible mobile phones and tablets will receive an alert, make a loud siren-like sound and vibrate.

You will not need to take any action.

The Emergency Alerts system is used to warn if there’s a danger to life nearby, including extreme weather. Regular testing ensures the system is functioning correctly, should it need to be used in a life-threatening emergency.
