🦶✨ Small device, big difference

This client came to us with toes that were pressing tightly together, causing discomfort and creating the perfect environment for callus, corns and pressure build‑up.

A custom toe spacer was the solution, designed specifically to sit between the affected toes, gently realign them and reduce the friction that was causing the problem.

Custom spacers can be a brilliant option for managing clawed toes, toe deformities, pressure points and recurring corns, helping patients stay comfortable, active and supported day to day.

One tiny piece of silicone… a whole lot of relief. 💚

🦵🔧 Lower‑leg casting for custom AFO fabrication

This image shows the negative cast Tom has taken of our patient’s lower leg as part of the custom AFO process. A high‑accuracy plaster mould captures limb geometry, bony prominences and alignment in a controlled position.

From this cast, a positive model is produced that can be modified to achieve the required correction, offloading and support parameters before thermoforming the final orthosis.

Precise casting = precise fit.
Precise fit = optimal function.

🦶✨ Supporting recovery. Restoring confidence.

This custom orthosis was fitted to a patient who’s rebuilding their stride after a partial foot amputation and every element has been crafted with purpose.

The device features a total contact insole with a bespoke toe filler, designed to sit seamlessly inside the patient’s shoe. By distributing pressure evenly across the entire surface of the foot, it helps protect vulnerable areas, reduce the risk of skin breakdown and provide a stable foundation for daily movement.

To further enhance gait and manage ground reaction forces, this insole is paired with a custom AFO working together as a complete system to support comfort, alignment and confidence with every step.

Our patient is determined to return to normality and reclaim an active lifestyle. With the right orthotic setup, they’re already on the path toward achieving their goals and getting back to the life they love.

We’ve wrapped up everything from the Foot & Ankle Show 2026 - including the big moment Tom and Jon from Simplify Orthotics launched the Anthropods insole range together.

Day one at the Foot & Ankle Show 2026 and what a buzz!
We’ve been alongside Simplify Orthotics for the launch of their brand‑new insole range — expertly demonstrated by the Anthropods team and getting plenty of attention on the exhibition floor.

From podiatrists and orthotists to physios and R&D innovators, we’ve had brilliant conversations all day. It’s been a proud moment for Tom too, seeing the products he’s helped develop out in the world and getting such positive feedback.

🎉What an incredible day at The Movement Center open day on Friday 🤩

We were invited to present about Orthotics and it was such a privilege to meet so many amazing people all working to improve lives. We loved learning more about specialist children’s physiotherapy and targeted training therapy, hearing the brilliant team from the Cavalier Centre and chatting with everyone over the most delicious doughnuts from

Tom lead our presentation and we were blown away by the response. Several people told us they had never heard of Orthotics before and now know someone who could benefit. That is exactly why we do what we do.

Huge shout out to DMO for a fantastic talk on dynamic movement orthoses, we are an big fan of their Lycra garments. Thanks to RMS rehab for showcasing their mobility equipment it was great to learn more about them.

….And of course a lovely catch up with our old colleagues from RJAH made the day even more special! ✨

🌲 Breaking In Your New Insoles: Slow & Steady Wins the Comfort 🌲

Just picked up your new Woods Orthotics insoles? Your feet are about to feel very loved— but like any good relationship, it starts with a gentle introduction.

Here’s how to break them in without the drama:

👣 Start small
Wear them for 1–2 hours on day one. Let your feet get used to the new support.

⏳ Add time gradually
Increase wear by an hour or two each day. A little patience now means long-term comfort later.

🥿 Expect a bit of “newness”
Mild pressure or awareness is normal at first. Sharp pain or rubbing is not—if that happens, we’re here to help.

🚶‍♀️ Keep moving
Short walks are great for helping your feet adapt. Think gentle stroll, not mountain hike.

🌿 Listen to your body
