Our aim at Pillars is to help you feel better, move better, and make better decisions - without turning your life upside down.

Your coach Tim is a Level 5 Diploma certified & insured Nutritionist, Co-Owner of Active8 Gym (Oswestry) and a Qualified Metrologist (the science of measurement) with over 10,000 hours experience of coaching.

You will start your Pillars journey with a Discovery phase - we use an app to track everything: your current meals, your mood, even your activity levels. You’ll uncover patterns you never noticed, and we’ll use that insight to guide the next steps and build your personalised program.

This includes a tailored plan and targets which will be set and tracked using the Cronometer app - ensuring you have a constant feedback loop with your coach, who will see all your data and is just a message away. If they spot an easy tweak or think you need some encouragement they will be in your inbox.

25kg down and maintained for almost 6 months now 💪 Kelly Kryptonite Clarke

This is the power of a community and showing up even when it feels like everything is against you.

Anxiety means you care.
Before my fell race last weekend, the excuses were ready:

Not prepared, too weak
Too busy building Pillars
Should be spending time with my family

It all sounded sensible. It was just fear.
The feeling before a race is the same as before a hard conversation, an exam, or a presentation.
Anxiety shows up when something matters

I even messaged my clients and told them I was struggling. Because that was is what our community is for (support) and leadership isn’t pretending you’re fearless.
It’s modelling what leaning in actually looks like.

One of the biggest health upgrades I made in 2025 surprised me.

It wasn’t a new training plan 📆
It wasn’t more sessions 😭
It wasn’t pushing harder 😤

It was wearing a weighted vest — mostly during everyday walks.

Here are the five biggest wins I noticed — and none of them required more training time:

1️⃣ More return from walking (without more time) 🚶
Same steps. Same time. More stimulus.

2️⃣ Better posture & core awareness 💭
You can’t switch off — your body adapts quickly and naturally.

3️⃣ Joint-friendly loading 🩻
No impact. No pounding. Just controlled, progressive load.

4️⃣ Mental resilience 🧠
Easy things feel slightly harder — and that carries over into training and life.

5️⃣ Ageing well (long-term health) 🩺
Maintaining load tolerance as we get older isn’t optional — it’s protective.
