🌿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴

Your body has an automatic control system — the autonomic nervous system — quietly guiding how you respond to stress, safety, and recovery.

It has two main branches:
- 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 – your “mobilise” mode. It gets you ready to fight, flee, or push through. Heart rate rises, muscles tense, digestion slows.

- 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 – your “restore” mode. It supports rest, digestion, repair, and long‑term health.

The parasympathetic system works largely through the vagus nerve, which has two key pathways:
