What stops us taking action towards our own happiness?

Often, it’s not that we don’t know what would make us happy…
It’s that we hesitate at the point of choosing it.

Making an active judgement call not to move in the direction your intuition is nudging you towards is still a decision. It’s a choice to stay exactly where you are.

So what’s stopping you?

Is it the fear of hurting others?
- You'd rather hurt yourself instead?
The fear of the unknown?
The worry that it won’t work out?
The fear of what others will say?
(Who gives a crap!)

Now weigh that up against doing nothing... Staying stuck right where you are...

If you take a chance and it doesn’t work out, you’re still further forward than where you started, as you've learned and you’ve shifted energy.

You’ve moved forward and once you take that first step, it genuinely does get easier.

The challenge is that when we’re stressed, overwhelmed or constantly in our heads, clarity feels out of reach. Our nervous system is busy protecting us, BUT not guiding us forward.

This is where reflexology can help. By deeply relaxing the body and calming the nervous system, we soften out of survival mode. Space opens up. The noise quietens and in that calm, you can feel where your heart is pulling you.

Not rushing.
Not forcing.
In the next fortnight, contemplate your next move from a place of balance rather than fear.

Don’t stay stuck in unhappiness because you fear the unknown more.

Take a chance and trust YOU.

Stop betraying and doubting yourself for others..

How do YOU view reflexology?

Have you tried it yet and if not… why not?

What is it that bothers you?

Is it the thought of your feet being touched?
Worried it might be ticklish? Honestly, not true! Most of my clients will happily tell you this..

Don’t like your own feet?
Well… maybe you should.
They support you every single day, carrying you through life while you quietly get on with your own business.

What many people don’t realise is that the feet, mirror the whole body. Different areas of the feet correspond to different organs, systems and body parts. By working these points, reflexology gently communicates with the body, encouraging balance and harmony from the inside out.

It supports the nervous system and encourages it to slow down, allowing energy to flow more freely and the body to do what it naturally knows how to do which is to restore balance.

Through deep relaxation and gentle touch, reflexology helps rebalance energy, calm the mind and bring the body back into alignment, in its own time, and own way.

Sometimes the support you’re looking for…
starts right at your feet 👣

I've been so impressed with a few of you in the last year or so..

So many hurdles have been overcome, whether this is with illness, fitness, mental health, making decisions, stepping up personal boundaries, learning to say "no" and taking action on things that are more aligned with YOU rather than everyone else, making your lives so much easier, calmer, healthier and I just want to say bloody WELL DONE to all of you. 👏👏

Everyone who has quietly achieved something, whether big or small, WELL DONE.. Keep going, moving forward, refining, restructuring your lives so you feel happier.

Sometimes, the rug gets pulled from beneath us and the changes are forced upon us but look for those silver linings amidst it all because they are there... Rest if you need, cry if you must but know whilst change feels scary, ultimately, moving forward is all we can do so let's make our lives count and shape them accordingly, to what makes us happy then watch the 'ripple effect' on those around us.

When we feel happier so will everyone else (eventually). Adjustments are a natural process leading us onwards.

What have you done for YOU and your own wellbeing recently?

Be honest…
Is it truly for you or is it coming from people-pleasing?

One way you’ll know is simple: Does it bring you personal joy?

Trying to keep up with other people’s happiness (at the expense of your own) is exhausting. It depletes your energy, you lose clarity and your sense of self.

How long can you continue with that, before you hit the floor?

That’s not wellbeing that’s peacekeeping which usually means that it’s your wellbeing paying the price.

Strengthening boundaries, writing down who you are, your values, what you need and what genuinely brings you joy are powerful steps towards feeling more balanced, more nourished, more you.

For me, this has meant a lot of recent reflection which includes stepping up boundaries around my work, noticing shifts in my friendships - becoming more intentional about who I want to deepen connections with and paying closer attention to who deserves my energy and where I am overgiving of it. Plus who is reflecting things back to me that I need to address within myself.
All of this comes from learning who I am and allowing my own needs to matter.

This is what improving wellbeing looks like for me - where joy lives.

So today, what can you reflect on?
What one small, actionable step can you take right now, not because someone needs you to, but because YOU matter?

Who and what brings you happiness, peace, safety, connection and nourishment?

What makes you feel good?

When you truly love what you do, it shows.

In your work, business, workouts, friendships, that joyful energy quietly shines through.

Something clients often say to me, that when they come for reflexology, it isn’t 'just' the treatment they benefit from. It’s the energy I bring into the session through presence, intention and care.

That’s always incredibly humbling to hear.

The truth is.. I really do love offering reflexology.

Here’s why…

Mutual exchange:
Reflexology isn’t a one-way process. As much as clients receive, there’s something deeply grounding and nourishing for me too.

The process of 'relaxing and letting go' -
Watching someone visibly relax, their breathing softe and yes.. hearing the snores (I 'love' the snores!) well, that’s the nervous system feeling safe enough to rest.

The feedback afterwards:

Whether it’s “I slept better than I have in months” or “I finally feel calmer in myself”, those responses never get old - I will never tire of hearing them.

Then, there's the power of therapeutic touch:

Touch, when offered with care and intention, is profoundly healing. It reminds the body that it’s supported, held, and listened to.

Reflexology, for me, is so much more than working on feet.
It’s about creating space.
Restoring balance and allowing the body and mind to remember how to soften.

When you love what you do… people can feel it...

Reflexology is often spoken about for its physical benefits with easing tension, supporting sleep, helping the body rebalance but its impact goes far deeper than that.

It works quietly with the nervous system, which means it also supports us both mentally and emotionally, especially during the colder months.

January, in particular, can feel heavy. The excitement of a new year fades, routines return, motivation dips and the intentions we set before Christmas can start to feel distant or unrealistic.

This is where reflexology becomes more than just a treatment, it becomes support.

By encouraging deep relaxation, reflexology helps the body release dopamine and endorphins which are our natural feel-good chemicals. These are the same hormones linked to motivation, pleasure, emotional balance, and resilience. When these levels are supported, it becomes easier to keep going, to stay connected to what matters and to gently re-ignite the momentum we felt at the start of the year.

Rather than pushing or forcing change, reflexology helps you feel better first and from that place, motivation naturally follows. It keeps your intentions alive, not through pressure but through care.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do, is support our body and let everything else follow.
