I found this an interesting read (even though it's about Dungeons & Dragons! 😂), and hadn't come across this concept of 'serious leisure' before.

The description of Yoga as 'serious leisure' really resonates with me... that it involves a deep, committed practice where participants pursue it as a lifestyle, characterised by self-exploration, continuous learning, and significant social connections within a "yoga world", often progressing from casual, health-focused participation to intense, long-term dedication 🙏

When a hobby becomes something larger, with a focus on improving skills and developing deep knowledge, it can deliver surprising rewards.

While nothing beats personal meditation guidance, and it is of course entirely possible to meditate in a whole host of different ways without tech!...an app can help you access a guided practice at home each day, which can be really helpful if you want to commit to a regular practice and you're not sure where to start.
Here's a review that might help you choose (Insight Timer, their winner, is also my favourite too)

Enough scrolling: A quality app can facilitate your mindfulness meditation practice by providing the options you want and making them easy to find quickly.

I was demonstrating a pose in class last week (actually one of these), when someone asked if my limbs were still attached in the right places 😂... so in honour of funny looking yoga poses, here's a few more for you...
