Join us in welcoming the artist Jonny Hannah to Otley! His new exhibition of screenprints, posters and artworks opens with an evening of refreshments with Jonny on the decks playing the records they inspire his eclectic work!FRIDAY MAY 2 6-8 EVERYONE WELCOME. Taking his influences from a range of sources, Jonny has explored a unique mix of folk tales, jazz, Americana and pop culture to create a personal vision of the world. Jonny is a designer and illustrator who also makes work as Cake & Ale Press. SEE YA THERE!

The amazing Jonny Hannah comes to Print Town... a new exhibition of prints and artworks opens on May 2nd at UpCo in Otley – the event opening is between 6pm and 8pm and the show will run right through the month until May 31st.

Alongside the artworks and books will be a brand new set of woodcut & letterpress prints, printed at Tilley Printing in Ledbury, on Mr Clark's mighty Wharfedale Press... made in Otley in 1879.

Casey Orr here from Upco - I spend my American summers painting these Pennsylvania folk art HEX signs. They are a tradition of barn decoration found in southeastern Pennsylvania settled by Germanic Europe. I love painting them. It’s so soothing, so satisfying. They are beautifully circular and rely on a geometric symmetry. Jo Lyons of ‘centre of the Otley universe’ zero waste shop is also a geometrist. Together we are offering this day of painting hex signs. Included is all supplies to paint your own wooden hex sign with our guidance. There will be wintery warm beverages, snacks and a full hot lunch. Join us!
