Under the guidance of owner Wendy Clegg, Physio Logic Ltd celebrates its 31st anniversary this year, providing ethical and high quality healthcare to the local community since 1994. Conceived by Wendy 31 years ago, originally as Otley Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic, the practice became a limited company in 2002. Based on Westgate in Otley, Physio Logic continues to provide an array of specialist healthcare professions serving the people of Otley, Ilkley, Leeds, Harrogate and surrounding areas. The practice has four highly qualified Chartered Physiotherapists with a wealth of experience providing physiotherapy for a whole range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries, as well as neurological and respiratory problems. Physio Logic also has a registered Osteopath, Chiropodist, Podiatrist and Biomechanical Specialist specialising in Gait Analysis and Biomechanical assessments, and a qualified Chinese Doctor practising Chinese Medicine including Acupuncture. The practice also offers sports massage, Therapeutic Pilates, Power Plate rehabilitation and Diagnostic Ultrasound scanning. In 2009 Physio Logic was delighted to be awarded willing provider status by the NHS and trialled a successful 9 month NHS physiotherapy pilot service to Leeds Primary Care Trust for the provision of physiotherapy to Charles Street Surgery in Otley. To enable their staff to maintain evidence based best practice and continually keep abreast of current research, Physio Logic is proud to be a centre for training, providing regular postgraduate courses from the premises for physiotherapists, osteopaths, and sports therapists locally and nationally. Physio Logic has announced the addition of a new Power Plate® machine to the practice and is now registered as a Power Plate® training facility having two of their physiotherapists certified as Power Plate® Instructors. The physiotherapists are embracing the Power Plate® as an excellent rehabilitation tool due to the range of benefits the Power Plate® offers. More recently Physio Logic has welcomed Northern Medical ultrasound Ltd to the practice whom offer a professional and efficient service performing diagnostic ultrasound scans direct to patients without the need for a GP referral. Scans are performed at the Physio Logic practice by Northern Medical Ultrasound's highly experienced sonographers. The company feels very strongly that patients want their care close to home and that the provision of high quality diagnostics in a friendly and familiar setting is the key to an excellent service. All of their staff are fully qualified and registered with the HCPC (health and Care Professions Council) and have the backup of Consultant radiologists where a second opinion is required.
